Even then, in the recent years they stocked up massively on brand products. I noticed that I save around 50% when I shop at ALDI when compared to REWE or Netto.
The manager of my local Aldi cheated on his wife with a dude. Every time I go in there I see his short ass stocking shelves with his step-stool and giggle to myself about it.
>Free from nuts
What exactly do they think coconuts are????

>The word coconut itself can also be confusing because the word “nut” is contained in the word. A nut can be defined as a one- seeded fruit. With that loose definition, a coconut can also be a nut. However, a coconut is not a true nut. A true nut, such as the acorn, are indehiscent or do not open at maturity to release its seeds. The seeds are released when the fruit wall decays or are digested by an animal.

Peanuts, cashews, almonds, walnuts, pecans and pistachios aren't nuts either.

If you wanna save money shop at Costco. Why is everything Germans make so soulless? Like I hate israelites as much as the next sane human, but thank god krauts didn’t take over the world.
Where do you live that Nahkauf is better than Lidl? All the Nahkauf stores I've been to were cramped up piles of shit with old hags at the cash registers
Not that anon but nahkauf carries the same items as rewe, so in terms of item quality they are the same (they are part of the rewe group).
That being said, they are usually smaller, more cramped and from personal experience tend to have less fresh produce and you are more likely to find something that is out of date because the employees didn't bother to sort through the stock. So the items themselves are the same, yet everything else is worse. I think that's fair to put it above Lidl.
I know that. Still, i never seem to get thestuff there i came for. One time i didn't even get basic stuff like cream (neither fresh nor long shelf life) or parsley because they were out of stock and it wasn't even late in the evening but early afternoon. Also this was before the whole corona/Ukraine supply chain issues. That's not a singular incident but the most ridiculous example of what i experienced. Lidl on the other hand has a smaller variety in items sold but they're almost always in stock on everything unless you go there 5 minutes before closing time
>i never seem to get thestuff there i came for
That's a fair point. They are usually smaller and some things they just don't seem to stock as a result of that. And they will usually have to refill the shelves 2-3 times a day, meaning depending on when you arrive things might be sold out. Definitely true about nahkaufs, kek.
Honestly I don't know too much about Lidls, where I lived and live it's mostly rewe, aldi, edeka, occasionally but rarely a nahkauf or kaufland. There was I think 1 Lidl, and it was okay, but felt much closer to Aldi in terms of "cheap, decent food, but nothing special". That was ages ago though, before the whole "cameras in the bathroom" scandal, so maybe they changed their image and stock since.
>There was I think 1 Lidl, and it was okay, but felt much closer to Aldi in terms of "cheap, decent food, but nothing special".
It's still pretty much that. But for the basic stuff you're reliably set with Lidl. For “specialty“ stuff I'll go to rewe/edeka
Can EUROPEAN brothers help a poortugal brother out?
Is this croissant still available?
I think i had them on Lidl, but they stoped having them years ago. It is a childhood memeory, they were my confort food. Please help, where can i get some?
in germany netto and aldi have these or at least similar ones, most supermarkets here probably have them.
was right, if all you care about is the general type.
If you want those specific ones (since I also have similar childhood memories, espeically for this specific clown), rewe often carries them.
Here's the online website of REWE carrying the milk cream filling ones: https://shop.rewe.de/p/kuchenmeister-kinderhoernchen-mit-milchcreme-5er-240g/3065901
Can't find the nougat version on their website, but I am sure I have seen them in rewes. I guess in portugal your best bet is online, but that may be hard to find.
I buy about 90% of my groceries here except produce. It always rots within a few days of purchase so I guess if you're shopping for THAT DAY it's fine but otherwise you're wasting money.
Also >pizzas so massive they can't fit in an oven
The ultimate greed trap
I like the prices and stuff but wish it was cleaner. As a Brit I prefer Lidl just for the fact it’s brighter and cleaner but if Aldi was less grimy and dirty on the inside I’d probably go more
They used to have a lot of discounted meats every week, now it's only fruits and veges. I can find more discounted items at Target and Walmart.
Can't beat their cookies.
>nearest aldi is 250 miles from me 🙁
Lol. That's like I as a Berliner would drive to Prague just to get a few cases of Staropramen. I'm always astounded how empty America actually is
Aldi [Süd] is still expanding in US markets, and naturally focused on more densely-populated urban and suburban areas. There are some American states with hundreds of Aldi stores, and other states with fewer than ten stores.
But yes, the nation as a whole does have a lot of wide, open, sparsely-populated regions. They say that Americans have no understanding of "time", but conversely Western Europeans have no understanding of "space" as we do.
Can't really related cause Aldi is called Hofer in Austria and Slovenia (where I live) unlike the rest of the world. Just went there today and bought two sixpacks of mixed unfiltered, wheat and lager beer for 11€ along with two large flavoured waters for 70c. Getting hammered like a mother as we post.
im givin you guys the good stuff so you better listen >nashville hot chicken chips
vinegar hot chips. no bs in the ingredients. very rare to have that >chocolate almondmilk
dutch cocoa and it has almost milkshake like consistency. its frickin good >braunschweiger
liver is good for you >veggie straws
way cheaper than the name brand at regular stores, no bs ingredients >meat
used to be great deals on beef cuts there but inflation kinda ruined it. apparently sourced regionally but id rather buy from a butcher tbqhfamalam >cafe bustelo
shit will wake you tf up
I fricking hate Aldi because of the bullshit with tokens to use carts. You have to take your cart away from your car to not lose money and it wastes a lot of time that you don't have to waste at other stores.
Aldi, the upsides
Aldi pork shoulder is good and extremely cheap
Their pizzas are good
Their alcohol is the cheapest available and has great variety. Their litre bottles of spirits are in particular extraordinary value
Nice soft drinks, better than other supermarkets' budget ranges
Everything is just cheaper
The downsides:
Terrible sausages
Chicken has feather bits in it sometimes
Shite noodles (the egg noodles)
Their economy bread is terrible
Their imported cheeses appear to be of the lowest quality, even though they have the PDO label
Things regularly out of stock (their red bull-type drinks were missing for about 2 months at my Aldi)
This is the absolute best ready-made food I have ever encountered and tis not even close, one of the few things I could buy every week and not get sick of.
Seems as expensive as going to the butcher. I thought Aldi was where all the poor Black folk shop?
Black folk are too stupid to save money at Aldi.
I always see a ton of Indians and single moms when I go.
I find that one can do a decent shop at ALDI. The only thing I can't get there are specially items such as a certain type of chocolate I like.
One of reasons I go to ALDI is for pic related. Tastes almost like Ferrero Rocher but much cheaper and in a more convenient shape.
Even then, in the recent years they stocked up massively on brand products. I noticed that I save around 50% when I shop at ALDI when compared to REWE or Netto.
£1.09
Simple as
I really like these too with some garlic and onion dip. Great taste
>ALDI (advertisement)
aldis good cheap braunschweiger
The manager of my local Aldi cheated on his wife with a dude. Every time I go in there I see his short ass stocking shelves with his step-stool and giggle to myself about it.
One in my area has a gigantic troony who doesn't pass, fortunately I don't go to that one all that often.
Always has exactly what I never need. Every trip to Aldi’s is a wasted trip.
Both Lidl and Aldi opened near me both places suck would rather shop at shop rite tbh
As a vegan in Europe Aldi and Lidl are my bread and butter
>bread and butter
>vegan
You think you're funny don't you
you give me too much credit, my local Aldi really does have really nice vegan and palm oil free butter
Wtf is that even made of?
the main ingredient is coconut fat
and no it tastes absolutely nothing like coconut
>Free from nuts

You're welcome anon.
Seeing that picture gave me nostalgia to back when I was young.
Exactly the same for me.
For me it's their wheat beer. Cheap as frick and actually pretty decent.
everything at aldi is fricking disgusting
Got a giant, precooked, frozen lobster tail from there. Afraid to cook and eat it because it’s a frozen lobster tail…
Ours is a good store but so many I’ve been to are shit
I buy about 90% of my groceries here except produce. It always rots within a few days of purchase so I guess if you're shopping for THAT DAY it's fine but otherwise you're wasting money.
Also

you're better off buying an ice machine than an air fryer
i like getting their big 30oz jars of cashews, they last me like 3 to 4 months but their prices have been steadily rising.
I like the prices and stuff but wish it was cleaner. As a Brit I prefer Lidl just for the fact it’s brighter and cleaner but if Aldi was less grimy and dirty on the inside I’d probably go more
This sounds like a problem of your local building not the chain as a whole

i want one of their $5 18in take and bake pizzas before they raise the price to $8.99

Aldi tore Europe in half, don't let it happen to you burgerbros
Having moved within germany and experienced both Aldis extensively: Aldi Süd is better
>It's a "only one lane is open and the boomer lady in front of you has $200 worth of groceries" episode
>while the cashier is running between stocking shelves and ringing up customers

Everytime I go to an Aldi's there's like 2 checkout aisles open that are a mile long
>disgruntled woman saunters out of the manager's office five minutes after a desperate wagie radios for help
Bless them for cheap nuts, cheese and wine
