I like it for cooking fried rice/stir fry, I can do a lot of burgers at once if I have people over. Breakfasts are pretty nice with pancakes and eggs, and bacon. I got this free to be honest, I found it roadside someone threw away and I rehabbed it for a cost of $15.It is now so well seasoned, I can cook eggs with no butter/oil

So it's a giant frying pan in the shape of a grill, that offers no advantages over either frying pans or charcoal grills?

    >best investment
    >I got it for free
kek I'll make sure to get myself one if I find one abandonded by the roadside.

It does offer me the advantage of being outside and being able to grill on it. I have many charcoal grills, I would use them for different things than I use this (pork butts, smoked chicken, ribs). This is just for fast cooked, easy to clean up stuff.

"Boy, I sure do love how the house smells three days after I pan-sear meat."
      --No one. Ever.

Do you not have an exhaust hood?

a lot of people have shitty recirculating vent hoods instead of a proper one vented out to open air, especially if they live in shitty apartments

It being outside and not having to worry about splatter is awesome. Also the extra space is really nice.

But yeah I guess if you're a single guy making food for yourself it's not worth it

I put my pizza steel on my grill or stove top, why would I need an additional tool?

Op here, season that thing up..100 grit then 500 grit then 1000. Season it up, I used avacodo oil then bacon. I had to take an edge grinder to mine at some spots because the rust was so bad but now, it's great

I have an off brand one that I found in a free pile in my neighborhood
I only really use it a few times a year but so far I have had good luck cooking burgers, breakfast sandwiches, frying up braised taco meat and cooking lots of tortillas at once

    It's a big pan.
I guess if you work in a diner it's nice but I don't need one at home.
