      guinness

Dumbfrick tastelets. Guinness is one of the lightest beers in mouthfeel, calories and alcohol. Just because it's dark and offends your delicate sensibilities doesn't make it heavy.

I had a lactose ipa recently and didn't hate it and I usually hate IPAs.

I'll have to try it I live in New England and only really drink Narragansett. This was at a local brewery it was called a tropical milkshake ipa or something.

Yeah, definitely try it. Hazy is less bitter, a hazy double IPA will be the best case scenario.

I want a beer that feels like you're drinking a dinner roll. Any suggestions?

Dopplebock I guess, some malts are just plain bready regardless of the beer.

Rye makes beer thicker. I brewed a beer with 100% pale rye malt and it was kind of like half-and-half in thickness. Taste was surprisingly mild.

you want brown ales or stouts

Imperial stouts will generally be the thickest beers, high abv thickens texture and anything with wheat or oat is generally what we percieve as "full bodied", and lactose sugar (milk) can further build on this perception, and these are most commonly found in stouts. Like if you get a imperial peanut butter ice cream stout, god help you, it's probably gunna feel thick going down.
