Why do zoomers think it's millenials job to teach them basic life skills?
They always shirk back and act helpless when their incompetence is discovered

It actually is, and the problem is that you have trusting naive kids raised in bubble wrap by corporations being told to live like dumb animals and dudebro milennials encouraging it. Like 25% milennials are giving them valuable life skills and 75% are telling them to eat baja blast pies.

Over 90% of Zoomers are morons, but this sort of shopping affects all generations, unfortunately.
This is how my mother shops and when I suggest something like Kangaroo steak or a rabbit (minus the ribs) she simply balks at the suggestion so I am stuck eating literal slop for a week. She will not let me do the shopping either, though I showed her what my list looks like, only because the budget was $0 for junk food.

His older brother doesnt owe him free emotional labour explaining to his brother exactly what he wants him to buy.
He should just be able to give his brother money and say go to the store and his brother should know exactly what to buy without any explaining or lists why are zoomers so moronic?

like everybody else, i go get groceries and come back from the groceries place carrying a paper bag with a loaf of bread and a leafy green vegetable coming out of the top, so the tv audience know that i've just been shopping for groceries. sometimes i'll loudly announce "I BROUGHT THE GROCERIES YOU ASKED FOR" when entering my home, just so it's completely clear to the tv audience that i bought groceries and i just came home from where i bought the groceries, and that's why i'm holding the paper bag containing easily-recognisable food items like bread and something green (vegetable)

Okay anons I'm trying to eat better and spend less, what are some good options? What should a decent weekly grocery list look like for one man? Assuming I buy no boxed snack foods.

Eggs, carbs of choice, peanutbutter, choccy milk

Buy more veggies, especially greens. Stop buying processed foods especially junk food. That shit's expensive now and is obviously bad for you.
Every week I more or less get:
      >some fruit as a snack, apples bananas.
      >hummus and celery and carrots
      >couple different types of mushrooms.
      >green beans or asparagus
      >frozen veggie medley (corn, green beans, etc)
      >some leafy shit
      >peppers, both bell and spicy
      >garlic/onion if out
      >a bunch of leafy greens like kale and broccolini
      >some kombucha for fizzy fruity sweet drink
      >some relatively lean proteins like white fish, chicken breast or thighs. Sometimes beef. Often also tofu.
      >rice if out
      >yogurt and some 1%
      >some smoked/cured salmon. Eat it as is.
I have a shitload of spices to make a variety of things but these are the staples. I keep some quick junky food like frozen dumplings and a frozen pizza and some pasta and pasta sauces and ravioli for when I don't wanna eat healthy, but this is mostly what I keep in the house. I try not to keep chips or ez dinners or other snacks around because I have poor self control.
I also buy a lot of store brand stuff because it's fine enough and is cheaper.

      >What should a decent weekly grocery list look like for one man?
Buy pantry goods whenever they're on sale. (see pic) Always have eggs, oatmeal, peanut butter, shredded cheese, milk, and bread. Eggs and cheese last a very long time, and bread will last 2+ weeks past its expiration date in the fridge. Go to your grocery store's website and look at what protein is on sale. Plan meals around that protein. Things to check: Chicken thighs/breast, sausage, bacon, (you can buy a pack of this on sale and freeze it 2 slices per bag and just defrost it in the fridge and use it as a base for cooking for a long while, if you press all the air out of the bags it will last a long time without getting freezer burnt and be like fresh when thawed) pork shoulder, ground beef. If the protein has skin/bone always get that, it will always be way cheaper and it takes 2 seconds to remove if thats even necessary at all. (it usually isn't) Get frozen broccoli or peas, dont get the medley because its only good for stir fry and corn is just unhealthy filler that generally tastes bad. Produce aisle you want russet potatos (bake them) and onions. Cabbage is very cheap fresh healthy produce and tastes good if caramelized, you can use it in place of a grain and build a whole meal around it. Spinach is cheap and good and you can just throw a fistful of it into whatever. Pasta/rice/beans to your preference, this is a pantry good but worth mentioning seperately as you absolutely need it. Salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and flour are also absolutely essential pantry ingredients.

      Anonymous

Shopping lists are for morons. You don't need specific foods. You only need a range of whole foods, and the sensible choices change depending on the pricing at the time. As for things you only need to restock every month or six, you should never be in immediate need of any of it because you should be casually restocking them whenever you see them on discount.
