I don't really go out to drink anymore but why does that bother you? You're getting priority service

Heh, one of my bartenders had a strong "girl next door" vibe and she took home about $80k a year untaxed
She also got me hooked up with shy girls
Was always a little awkward taking my girlfriend there; she thought she was my sister

            Hell yeah she was
I'd known her, like, for about five years and I went in one afternoon and she was like, "We bought a house!" and after congratulating her and seeing the place I was like, "Damn, OK, so I'm curious, and you don't have to tell me, but what does a girl-next-door bartender make?"
That's when she said she filed for anywhere between $30-45K and put between $70-90K in a safe lag-bolted to her garage floor
They bought a house worth well over a mil with a cash down payment, no questions asked

If you go out to drink alone being friends with the bartender is the best thing you can do. They can help you with getting laid. Instead of being the virgin drinking alone, you become the high status male who the staff are friends with.

I say high status completely not ironically. Lots of people don't understand the femoid concept of status. It has nothing to do with your job or bank account or life trajectory. In terms of getting laid, status is just how much attention you get in a room full of people. You can observe this with guys that are objectively losers, like the manager at mcdonalds, who fricks a lot of the girls who work there based on his "status" as a manager at mcdonalds.

Now when the guy at the liquor store remembers your name and phone number for the discount program and types it in before you even get to the register then it's time to move to a new town

I don’t even go to the liquor store that often maybe 1.5 times a week and tonight the dude was like “no need for the Id I recognize ya” like wtf? It didn’t seem judgmental but I was a little shocked. Maybe it has more to do with how long you’ve been coming in rather than how often.

I went to the liquor store the Tuesday before Thanksgiving for the first time in, like, a decade, so to me, the idea of 1-2 times weekly seems excessive but I'm not the best metric to go by considering how infrequent I go.
        And I'm

Bruh, when I was a barfly while at uni, the bartenders knowing my name was breasts. There was this one cute Maori girl who would occasionally "forget" to charge me for a drink or two and this Irish dude who would introduce me to new shots I'd never heard of (for free) and this gay bartender who used to call me Sonic cuz I had spiky punk hair at the time and he'd talk shit in that hilarious-ass way homosexuals do.
Even went on a couple dates with and fricked this one bartender who later went on to become a porn star of some renown. Good for her, I guess?

Pretty much. I buy tobacco every 2-3 weeks and the cashier recognizes me because I've been going there for years.

yeah i go to a small grocery almost everyday after work where my boss yells at me. I mainly go because there's a cute cashier girl that works there and she makes me my day. Usually I have a smoke afterwards. Recently another worker invited me to smoke in the back of the store to hide from people. I enjoy talking to her and learning about what's hip with younger people. Somehow she knew my name, apparently the cute cashier girl told her.

well steels were $3.99 for a 4pk of 16oz but then everybody in town jacked up the price to $6.99 and the lokos were only $1.99 but then a few months ago they jacked the price up to $3.79 so its back at a break even

In countries that aren't puritanical shitholes, this is generally a normal thing and a sign that you aren't a social recluse. Now you have to learn who the other people are that the bartender knows by name and make frens

being friends with the bar staff is one of the best things.
they'll randomly give you discounts here and there, if there's a fricked up drink order they'll sometimes just give you the frick-up, always gives you social clout if you say take friends out or go on a date and ppl recognise you as well

this and posts about grocery clerks recognising you tap into a level of autism that I simply cannot comprehend. A bartender knowing your name is the first step in one of the most fundamental relationships a man can enter into without getting his bussy pounded. Appreciate it.

4 of my close friends are people who I met while they were bartenders. Most have moved on to other things, but we still hangout. Back when I first started DJing, my friendships with these people were the key to getting gigs.

You get in with the local bartenders, tattoo artists, and cooks, and going out on the town becomes a joy. You'll know people everywhere, they take some extra effort to make sure you're happy, and the after closing hangouts are epic.
