The recipe said to let it cool for an hour or two so it wouldn't fall apart as easily but we didn't feel like waiting.

I have found that in general bread machines aren't ideal for making banana bread but it can certainly still be done.

you could but banana bread is cake and not actual bread.

Did you just do that for the lulz or are you actually moronic? Banana bread is cake not bread you don't make it in a breadmaker.

what's the hole in the middle for? you fricking your banana bread bro?

      Anonymous

Yeah. But no not really. It's where the mixing arm was. There's just always a small hole in the middle of the bread because of it.

so you bake it with the mixing arm inside then rip it out, prolapsing the bread in the process?

If you make the bread properly then no, you don't rip it out, you just turn the pail over and it slides out. I guess you could take the mixing arm out during the resting phase, but then you'd just have a piece of exposed metal poking into the bread.

This where you should have just used the breadmaker for mixing then baked it in the oven.
