Dried fish is good but I don’t eat squid or octopus anymore since they seem so smart.

    Also dried apricots are yummy.

Fricking love dried fish. Only two places I can find them are the Asian store and the pet store.

Pigs are also very intelligent, at least as far as animals go. But, they're all a far cry from humans.

Squids and Octopi only live for about two years, so even though they develop mentally fair faster than humans do, the ceiling is much, much lower. And, if it makes you feel any better, we also generally slaughter pigs when they're 5-6 months old. Way too young to be composing symphonies or programming phone apps.

        >we kill them when they're babies so it's ok
        Not logical, anon

They're sexually mature, so they're hardly babies. The Squids and Octupuses are not just sexually mature, but near the end of their natural lifespans. They're essentially old people at two years of age.

Even if squid are intelligent, they lack the whimsy and playfulness of octopi so they're fair game in my opinion

i haven't seen whole but i don't think i could do that, places around here only have the shredded

Well it's already shredded in the bag but it's still fairly big pieces, I mean do you leave them in long strands like that or knock them down into smaller more bite-size bits.

Japanese cooking uses a lot of dried ingredients
    >any kelp
    >katsuo
    >shiitake
these are present in at least 70% of jap recipes

japan is tiny, you see. they need to shrink wrap and dehydrate everything for space.
