Actually McDonalds (in Europe) is quite healthy I was waiting for a moron like you to make a smartass comment like this. French fries mayonnaise and hamburger from well sourced 100% beef are all healthy. I would say the worst things are probably the shitty vegetable oil being used for frying (but since I never cook with it I do not have to worry about this) and the fake American style cheese (but the portions are so small this can be overlooked) McDonalds is actually a healthy food option and if you believe otherwise you are a fricking moron.

            >and the fake American style cheese
It's literally just pure/real cheese with increased water content--typically via milk and/or butter--and emulsifying agents (which are naturally occurring molecules, found in real unprocessed food as well) to prevent the cheese separating from the additional water content.
            It's analogous to making mayo.

If you grind your own meat, buy good cheese, and so on, making burgers at home is not inherently unhealthy.

Most fastfood burgers have a bunh of additives, preservatives, extra salt, extra sugar, hydrogenated fats, and is cooked under subosr conditions. That'd what makes it bad for your kidneys, vascular system, and intestines.

The vegetables in a burger aren't healthy.
The point of eating vegetables to stay thin is that vegetables satiate you while providing very little calories.

If you use vegetables as a flavoring agent, rather than a substitute for something that is rich in calories, then it's not "healthy".

A caloric deficit is healthy in that people at a normal bodyweight live longer, and diets are most often prescribed to obese people.

  16. 1 month ago

    >bro why
Because "healthy" in regards to food is a meaningless buzzword. The food pyramid was propaganda backed by doctored studies to pad the wallets of the few. The lipid hypothesis and fat is bad campaign was propaganda backed by doctored studies to pad the wallets of the few.
As long as you're getting your vitamins, essentials, protein, etc. then what you're eating practically doesn't matter.
Even for teeth and gum health, the differences in food are negligible as long as you take proper care of your teeth and gums.
What is unhealthy is overeating to the point that you became fat and cause undue stress on your body. Or likewise, overeating to the point that your body is no longer able to regulate your blood sugar levels properly.

McDouble: Total 400 calories, or 350 calories without cheese.
      >190 calories: 100% Beef Patties
      >150 calories: Regular Bun
      >50 calories: Pasteurized Process American Cheese
      >10 calories: Ketchup
      >0 calories: Onions, Pickle slices, Mustard
The standard condiments (ketchup, mustard) make up 2.5% or 2.9% of the calories, respectively.
If you use another 4 ketchup packets (approximately 2 tablespoons), that's an additional 36~40 calories.
Or if you use a single container of their BBQ sauce, that's an additional 45 calories. The hot mustard is 45. Sweet and sour is 50. Honey is 50. Spicy buffalo sauce is 30.

It's really not that bad. Then again I'm not a fatass, so maybe fatasses are ignorantly drowning their burgers in an additional 135 calories of condiments.

Cheese and white bread aren't healthy. Fatty meat also isn't healthy. A grilled chicken sandwich on whole grain bread with spinach, low fat dressing, and triple the vegetables might be getting into healthy territory but it would be another sandwich entirely and possibly inedible on a burger bun. Would make a decent sub perhaps, but would basically be a salad sandwich.

The most important aspect of healthy food is raw cruciferous vegetables and there isn't a very good way to put the quantity required on a sandwich. Tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, and bell peppers aren't even in the category of vegetables that can be confidently called healthy. They're more like neutral.

I don't know who that is but this is seems like common knowledge to anyone who has ever had the slightest curiosity about nutrition and digestion outside of reading the macros on a label. You should be eating greens and fatty fish at least a couple times a week especially if you're abusing the shit out of your body with junk food, just to fill your nutritional gaps and get fiber.

        >Fatty meat also isn't healthy. A grilled chicken sandwich on
Medical consensus is the opposite, actually. Fatty meat, eaten in moderation, is not unhealthy. Likewise, lean meats like grilled chicken are not unhealthy when eaten in moderation.
The reason grilled chicken is talked up so much is because of its protein efficiency. It has a relatively high ratio of protein to calories, making it easier to fulfill protein needs while limiting your overall calorie intake.

Maybe I'm wrong about fatty meat. Maybe I'm wrong about everything. All of my info comes from the same people who let the world chug sucralose and kale and then did a 180 and said it would kill you 20 years later. I love kale and ate it for a long time thinking it was healthy and now suddenly it's contaminated with plastic and pesticides and is like eating aids.

I believe what I posted. We have data on it. It's not controversial. If you're asking if I believe some Elon Musk tweet, frick no. That guy's an idiot. Census data mostly has to do with how tax dollars are allocated. It has nothing to do with "voting power" outside of gerrymandering. Illegals don't even fill out census forms because...they're fricking illegals. That's just a completely performative bill that has absolutely nothing to do with reality. It's the equivalent of Republicans asking, "do your parents know you're gay?" Whatever answer you give they will point and laugh, because that's the level of immaturity a republican controlled senate has fallen to.

                Anonymous

Illegals can’t vote, but having a headcount is helpful in civil planning and emergency response. Also if the day ever comes where there’s to political will you have a nice deport list.

                Anonymous

The point was that illegals cause Democrats to get more seats in Congress than they would if only citizens/legal residents counted because seats in the House of Representatives is apportioned by total population, which includes illegals, not just those in the US with legal status. This incentivizes Democrats to support open borders and to oppose deportations.

Do you think Democrats gain another seat in congress every time 1000 immigrants cross the border? Are you stupid? The census wants to know the population density for shit like infrastructure and emergencies. If there were a massive fire or earthquake you’d still want the illegals to be counted even if you don’t care about them, because not knowing the right numbers will affect the amount of aide sent in for the legal citizens just as much. Seriously, how is this stuff so difficult for you? If you don’t like brown people vote Democrat. They’re the ones who want to put more funding towards the boarder and actually solve the issues that are causing so many refugees to come in the first place.
