Not even close. Every item. Burgers, nuggers, fries, breakfast sandwiches, sauces. It's all better at BK. McDonald's is absolute shit nowadays. They were never good, but they used to be better value than bk. Lost that, so now they're just worse by every metric.
For a lot of the main items, BK is much better. That includes all the burgers and the crispy chicken sandwiches. BK's original chicken sandwich with the long chicken isn't great, comparable to a big McChicken. McDonald's has better breakfast items and fries, though BK onion rings beat McD's fries.
Any burger with whopper patties does because they still broil those. The small patties taste like they were microwaved and the buns are almost always stale.

They didn't use to really charge for vegetables, but now they do. MAYBE $0.25? probably depends on the location. Some veggies they charged extra for and some they dont. I think maybe pickles were free, maybe onion, and they charge for lettuce and tomatoes?? sorry man i dont remember but shouldn't be more than 25 cents. I know cheese was 80 cents. You could maybe get around it by asking for some extra onions on the side or something after they ring you through so they wouldn't bother charging you for that

It really depends where. Back home, Latam, McDonald's was superior to BK. BK burgers were always dry and shitty. I also preferred McDonalds hashbrowns and nuggets. The times I've gone to the US, it depended where. But there's no reason as you guy have restaurants selling proper cheeseburgers. Here in france McDonald's is ass compared to BK. McDonald's patty's are always dry along with the bread, therefore trash tier. BK's are juicy, the inverse of my country. But I rather go to the taco's/arab places and asks for cheeseburgers there. They are juicy, bread is not dry, made on the spot and 1/3rd the price of BK or McDo. Only bad thing is that since they are mooslims they don't put bacon. Sometimes the moroccan dude gives me cups of tea for free while I wait. >12€ for a shitty bigmac

mcds fries are definitely better, but bk fries are pretty tasty too. just ask for them fresh and they'll usually make them if its not busy or if they dont have a bunch of fries already just sitting there. Though, some people ask for no salt, and ive seen the cook just take the fries that were just sitting in the bin, rinse them off in the deep fryer, and serve them that way. So as long as the cooks arent lazy assholes, they SHOULD make them fresh.
Also DO NOT ORDER THE POUTINE ON WHOPPER WEDNESDAY. They oversalt the fries because they cook so many and the layers just get added on to each other over and over again. so the poutine is SUPER SALTY. honestly, if you get a poutine there just ask for the fries with no salt. Theres so much salt on them i get a fucking headache.
On that note, the gravy is also vegetarian because its tomato based. lol. Its a shame they dont advertise it, probably because they want to make it seem like its "grandmas home made gravy with the drippings", because it would definitely appeal to the vegetarians lol
