It's only cheaper if you sign up to eat at least three burritos.

    >just whip it up yourself for cheaper
    interesting concept
It's a wonder it hasn't been brought up here before

It's the amount of time prepping all the ingredients which really makes it less economical to make it yourself. I ain't got no time for that.

I live in a texas town with many local tex-mex spots. One place has this thing called a 'super burrito' or someshit with everything in it, and even chili and cheese on top. I would never go to chipotle. But also making this kind of stuff at home requires a ton of ingredients and time.

you understand that fast food exists to offset the time required to cook food and not the cost of the food you would otherwise spend time to cook, correct?

because i have to go out and buy all the ingredients and then spend time and effort putting it all together.
not that i have ever eaten at chipotle and i in fact have whipped it up myself but still
    the point stands.

The only thing I will outright pay for is a kebab because I can't buy that delicious fricking meat anywhere.
    >hurr it's garbage meat waste
And it's fricking great when I eat two fat fricking kebabs stuffed with doner, tabouli and the hot sauce every takeaway shop uses, with at least two litres of beer.

I mean I feel like shit the next day but I also spend the next day wishing I had more.

    >Why would you pay ten dollars for this when you could just whip it up yourself for cheaper?
Can you really shop single items, to make 1 serving cheaper?
The moral of the story is that restaurants offer a service, food that is ready made for you to save time and effort, not money. Duh.
$10 for a meal, for me, is a damn bargain

it's about the price to food ratio for me. I can get a better burrito at a mexican restaurant for 3 dollars cheaper. I also think five guys is a scam.

It's a lot of work to make all of this shit for one burrito and half of it is shit I'm not going to feel like eating leftovers of, like beans, rice, and guac from scratch.

I have a job which means having a warm burrito at lunch requires me to microwave something for lower quality or buy food with the money I’ve earned from having a job.

Everything at Chipotle has a really similar taste. It’s like heavy salt and cumin with no nuance. I stopped eating there years ago when a Qdoba opened up locally.

I get the hot salsa on the side and i drizzle it as i eat.

Chicken burrito, pinto beans, white rice, fajita veggies (which they're always "out" of now - shrinkflation) and as much cheese as I can coax out of them
