Cooking date

Alright you fricks, I somehow managed to hit it off with a girl on the first date and now shes coming over for a cooking date.
Problem is I have no idea what we should cook togheter.
I was thinking something along the lines of

>not too hard but still able to show off a little
>overall cooking time about 1-1.5hours with prep
>on the lighter side as to not get too tired after the dinner
>cheese is ok but not much
>maybe also fits a white wine

any and all recommendations for the main course, appetizers and or experiences with a cooking date are welcome

Whatever octopus or shrimp dish you prefer works like a charm for me
For side dishes go with some sort of salad and either rice or pasta

yeah I can see this work with tagliatelle shrimps and a white wine sauce but shes kinda unexperienced with seafood so its kinda risky

Could also try asking her what type of food she likes and tell her you just want to know so you can go grocery shopping for the ingredients

yeah I will, its still a few days off Im just getting Ideas

I feel like shrimps is a good intro into seafood. Doesn't have a fish taste and a pleasant texture so something like shrimp scampi would be great. For wine I'd say a nice chardonnay or pinot grigio, I like picrel

I would definitely figure out what type of food she likes and is interested in making. Ask her if there's any recipes she's seen online that she would like to try. Women sometimes see stuff on instagram, tiktok, or pinterest and save them thinking they'll make it someday but never find an excuse. I saw a recipe for this mini homemade pizza pockets that are surprisingly healthy all things considered. I also have this garlic and parsley steak and sweet potato dish I make that's pretty good.

Pasta with shrimp. Get 1-2 limes and squeeze the juice. Melt about 1/3-1/2 stick of butter. Put in a little olive oil. Mix in your lime with some chili powder and Old Bay and garlic. Sear the shrimp on one side, pour in you juice-butter mixture. Prepare the pasta simultaneously. When the shrimp is finished, pour it all into the pasta and mix.
      Also works with rice.

everybody loves a good cheeseboard and I basically live in cheese & sausage country so that with some fruit n bread would be perfect if the dinner is small enough to wind down togheter somewhere comfy

      https://i.imgur.com/9rjGfOa.gif

i would say do something that takes a little while but isn't all hands on time so you're not just hustling around in the kitchen the whole time. little bit of cooking, little bit of talking, etc. you could do like a quick braise or roast a whole bird or something. i really nicely roasted chicken never fails to impress. and then you can whip up a quick pan sauce or gravy while the bird rests. classic shit. to be honest, the more i think about this, the more i like the idea. what good woman wouldn't love for a man to be able to roast a perfect chicken?

thats what im trying to find, something that u dont have to babysit all the time with breaks inbetween but that still takes effort and needs to be watched from time to time

i dunno what to tell you, friend. being a good cook isn't sufficient to make anybody like someone, but it's a significant perk for someone who cares about food/cooking. being a good cook isn't a personality but it's a nice skill that some people will appreciate.

boneless chicken breast, pan fried in chunks with a lump of butter, some oil, garlic, parsley, salt & pepper, then once it's nearly cooked get some heavy cream in the pan & reduce it down.
once the chicken is fully cooked, add in the pasta & grated cheese right at the end. and right when it's done add some new herbs in.
for dessert get some good vanilla ice cream and pick a sauce for it, a chocolate ganache or berry reduction would be the picks.

Yea honestly I dont understand the incel subculture at all. I was on this site before it exist and then left for a while and came back. israelites have managed to create this thing where they make non-sex havers have this whole thing and lexicon of terms and stuff. Non-sex havers even blame the israelites for them not having sex which is not entirely true, but also not entirely untrue. israelites are just sort of making incels believe it, but even ugly people can have sex if they try

    i have two in mind:
    >steak, asparagus and mashed potatoes
i think it's easy enough and there's a few tasks that can be delegated

but a really good one would be a braised dish, like osso bucco or lamb shanks. looks great and is very flavorful, but very little work. just prep and braise ahead of time
you can make a risotto or mashed potatoes as a side
and a salad of course. b***hes love salads.

I've always leaned in on pizza for this. Customization, opportunities to "ghost" her, flour fighting, etc. Especially if she's a little chubby because that means she probably loves pizza. Go for making three or four personal sized neapolitan pies.

Women shouldn't be allowed to cook or be in the kitchen. I would get her a chair if she had to watch the preparation.
Have a salad. Not iceberg shit. Something like a fresh spring mix with a homemade vinaigrette and some cherry tomatoes cut in half. A hard grated cheese like parm for the salad,
Women love beef filet. Idk why, it has no taste. Make two filets medium rare and serve with some grilled green beans.
The entire meal can be made in less that 45 minutes.
If she has to "cook" let her cut up the vegetables and make the dressing. You cook the beans and meat. Us a thermometer to get the meat perfect.
Have a reasonable wine. Women are stupid and like sweet white wines. Some maybe a $20 Prosecco. You have to teach them to like Chardonnay and Merlots.
    You're welcome.
Eat the salad first and then prepare the beans and meat. That will take about 15 minutes but you want to serve those things warm.
