Probably filled with sugar and oil.
And even so, if you eat more than 10 chips, that's probably more than 1 banana. You can't really overeat fruit, but at the same time eating like 5 bananas with oil and sugar isn't great.

Try some platain chips, those are awesome but imo a few go a long way. Try to find ones at some local joint like near a gas station or some corner store, random stuff those are the best.

    >Is it considered "healthy" or something?
Only by people who don't know what they're eating. All commercial banana chips are deep fried in a neutral oil usually coconut or sunflower oil, and most of them also coat the hot chips in sugar to give it even more 'crisp' texture & sweetness.
If they were dehydrated only they'd look like other dried fruit (eg apricots) where you still have some moisture. If you absolutely must eat them, first try to find a brand that does them dried/dehydrated only, and then try to find an unsweetened brand, and if you can't do any of those, don't eat more than 5 to 10 chips in a day.

They are definitely coated in a glucose or fructose glaze and they are fricking delicious. Maybe there's some ultrapure healthy version which is probably tough, leathery, and bitter :[

Dude, they are made from 50% saturated fat and 50% sugar. Any nutritional value has been fried out a long time ago. Now take a long hard guess at how healthy they are.

Some brands fry banana chips in coconut oil, which is high in saturated fat.

banana chips are mostly made commercial in Indonesia and Philippines. They're the top 2 for coconuts and top 5 banana production and have cheap wages.

Bananas suck I don't understand why boomers and euros love them so much, same with pineapple. Mangos are objectively superior as far as tropical fruits go

No. They are filled with oil. Very high calorie, and its seed oil most likely

    >Is it considered "healthy" or something?
That depends. Are they fried in oil? Then no.

If it's just dehydrated bananas, it's a bit more complicated. The problem with processed fruit like dried or juices is that they're easy to eat in large, unhealthy quantities you would be very unlikely to eat normal fruit in. Juices also lack fiber, while dehydrated fruit is lower in micronutrients.

For example, orange juice. It takes around 3 oranges for one glass of orange juice. You could easily drink like 5-10 glasses in one day without thinking too much about it. Most people wouldn't eat 15-30 oranges in a day without forcing themselves to do it.

It's not as severe for dehydrated bananas, but I could easily see someone eating the equivalent of 5-10 bananas like this without even noticing. Bananas are almost pure sugar, so while a few are healthy because they have good micros, eating that many could lead to weight gain.

Even normal fruit isn't all that healthy. It's basically nature's candy.

Of course it's good, it's crystalized sugar and dried fruit.
    >is it considered "healthy"
The only thing separating it from literal candy is the fiber content.
Dried fruit is very calorie dense, and because most of a fruit's weight is water, it's very easy to eat more than you should. Especially if you trick yourself into thinking it's healthy.

    >Is it considered "healthy" or something?
they are limited shelf life when made on your own dehydrator, and the storebought stuff uses sulfites to preserve them (or prevent browning), so this additive negates the healthy part. Make your own or enjoy occasionally. They and other fruit are delicious in baked goods. I love dried starfruit or bananas which I put into quickbreads, muffins and scones. Home dehydrated bananas taste like bananas-n-cream naturally.
