Despite the fact that I enjoy cooking, I've avoided Culinaly because you're all fatties that post nothing but takeout all day. Despite this, I'm asking for advice. I used to enjoy LAN parties in the 90s, early 2000s. And recently, I've wanted to recreate that. I've been experimenting with some dishes, and one of which is a cheeto battered chicked that can be dipped in nacho cheese or hot sauce. Honestly, I'm not expecting much but if you can inspire me, I'll be eternally grateful.
Video games are for children, grow up.
What is movies, TV and reading for then?
>What is
what ARE.
Video game are far from equating books. Don't delude yourself.

I didn't equate them, I was curious what else anon considers a waste of time.

not really. it the same as watching tv now.
Spoken like a mindless zombie. Get a creative hobby, not staring at brain rot.
Playing games keeps your brain more active than people who just sit and watch TV all day.
I've always found it funny that the same people who turn their nose up at video games will also sit on the couch for 4 hours and watch something like Love Island. We gamer are truly persecuted class.
This.
Adults only play job simulators or autism games.
you're really going to talk shit on people posting about takeout but you want to make Cheeto battered chicken dipped in nacho cheese?
the spirit of Culinaly is cooking things yourself. if you bought something pre-made, then you do not belong here
Nope, tourist.
Far too arrogant for someone asking for help with a cheeto-inspired abomination. You're worse than those who you criticize because you lack self-awareness.
>Far too arrogant for someone asking for help
You post your McDonalds on any other cooking website or forum and see what happens. It's only accepted here because there is never an expectation of anything better. ...And yes, when I'm discussing food themes and recipes, I am above someone posting their double cheese burger from the Burger King parking lot. If you find that interesting, good for you. But I think it takes away from the spirit of the board. I don't care if you cook a disgusting mess or an unhealthy abmination but just cook something.
Yeah because its a creative dish that I would make for the most, every 3-6 months. My brother in Christ, I don't eat fast food but I've made dishes for fun that would kill your local ethiopian boy. I actually don't mean to shame you for junk food but there is a lot of factors involved, clrearl that you're just not getting.

Good for you, LAN party and planning to cook.
Your palate doesn't seem to match good taste, nor even something game themed, though.
my grandma did this with potato chips but it will work for goldfish and cheetos
>smash up cheetos in a bag
>slice chicken into tendies
>add to seasoned flour that's mixed with a bit of baking powder
>add to a mixture of eggs a splash of milk and hot sauce
>back into flour
>back into egg mix
>add to cheeto crumbs
>fry
double up on the cheetos if you want
Hot cheeto breaded fried chicken has been a meme recently, definitely you can find recipes for that. Here's one from a quick google on it.

This can definitely be adapted to normal cheetos obviously. You might consider doing pizza, a lan staple, with suitably depraved alterations like nacho cheese for sauce, hot pocket chunks for toppings, etc.
Still, I'm not entirely clear on how you are recreating the lan party experience by making things that never appeared at a lan party. What exactly is the goal here? Depraved sloppa made in a lan party theme in terms of ingredients? Posting a list of what you consider lan-party ingredients would help with recipe production.

Fried chicken, hamburgers, pizza, cheese, and bacon.
Chop up a pack of bacon and mix it into some ground beef, be sure not to overmix, make into patties. A piece of bacon in every bite, beware of grease fires.

Fun mostly, I like cooking and I love cooking for other people. I liked the idea of creating some dishes with a LAN-party theme for my mates and inviting them over to play some shooters.
I used crushed cheetos for a breading for fried chicken one time and it did not turn out well. Something in the cheeto's mRNA is extremely prone to burning because it turned black almost instantly and left a weird residue. I'm not against experimentation but be aware it may not come out how you imagine it when you're using shit tier junkfood as an ingredient for the meme
venison backstraps marinated in crown royale maple and then cooked to rare
I need to be going to better lan parties
