if you have your own garden veg to harvest, the soil residue actually has very beneficial microbes for your health unironically

I used to not bother washing artichokes before steaming them but one time when I cut the top off a bunch of dead earwigs fell out. Now I wash everything (except meat because I'm white)

you pretend like washing the artichokes on the outside would have made the nagger bugs come out

Nah I mean more like pulling the leaves back and douching out the interior as much as possible, 'chokes are gross on the inside

Ive been doing a white vinegar and baking soda soak because thats what ive seen other people do. Not sure if it does anything since I think the two are supposed to cancel eachother out... i grew up soaking fruit and veg in vinegar which I hear does clean them but I honestly dont know

Typically. The only times I don't at least give them a rinse is probably if it's going onto a sandvich raw and looks clean already.

    Yes, retard.
Instead of being a normal human being and rinsing them in a colander or holding them under the tap; my dad would fill up the sink with water and let them soak in the sink water.
    Shit was rage inducing.
