    Flour, water
If you mean a recipe using it, hellfire stew. Break it up and cook it in pork fat and add some water

I really like this dudes channel but i feel like punching his face every time he uses this forced ear piercing joke.

Yeah honestly he sometimes tries to force jokes that just aren't funny. I like all of his videos, but some of the jokes just don't land, not in the sense that they are unfunny, just that they feel too forced.

I remember stumbling on his first video during the lockdowns. He didn’t even taste the shit he cooked lol. I ordered his cookbook.

            It can be
Like I said, clam chowder was originally made with ground hardtack not a white roux

            >clam chowder was originally made with ground hardtack not a white roux

Hardtack seems to be a method of storing flour and not so much something that was to be consumed as is.

I remember a history channel uploading a video on Garum, which made a lot of people look for garum recipes, which is how a lot of people found his channel.

How did the worms get in there? Why didn’t they wrap it up?

The same way the weevil got in

I have no idea how the algorithms put him in my feed. I think I was looking for some historical recipe. But, he was only like two or three videos in when I found him.

It's good you can mix it with hot sauces like you would with a beurre manie to make gravy

I always felt weird about this guy. Like, you can tell he's a flaming homo. But his cooking is based and he isn't making a big fuss about the shit.

He seems likeable and comfy, don't really mind that he's a sausage swallower.

Prepare to be disappointed. hardtack wasn't made for the culinary experience.

My doctor said my all-sausage-and-milk diet was a recipe for a hardtack, so probably that.

who's that 18th century autist making videos about that period food? can't remember, but I'm sure he's done a hardtack recipe. Townsend or something, iirc.
