normies will say it's bad for you

Actually, it's usually the vegans nowadays that say this. The most recent studies show that the 90s studies were talking shit.

every "study" says the shit before was bs, thays how "scientific" journalism survives

so why come everyone who ever eat eggs die?

      Anonymous

nope, nowadays normies are into fit culture so they all feast on eggs every day for the "gains"

Always thought these ads were weird.
    >What's so great about eggs?
    >Well, um, they're edible.
    >Incredible!

Considering where they come from, that is pretty incredible.

I had five eggs, two strips of bacon and 2 thick slices of rye yesterday. Was planning on eating the same again tonight. Idk now, I kinda feel like skipping dinner entirely and drinking a half case of Budweiser instead. I really should go for the eggs though.

My hens started laying again, so I've got a bunch of fresh eggs after I finish these crappy store bought ones.

dude, when you make an omelette, hold back a yolk or two, minimal difference.

        Anonymous

The yolk is nutritious. It's where most of the nutrients in an egg are. Worry about processed foods and pollution and maintain a healthy weight. An egg yolk isn't going to kill you.

I'm trying to pickle a bunch but I cannot resist fishing out a few now and then. Also it seems like they take like three days to pickle and don't change afterwards anyway, i.e. I used beetroot juice and it penetrated the white completely in like 24 hours. Flavor seems to stay the same as well, maybe it's better to boil, crack and then boil again in sauce before peeling and then keep them in some pickling solution.

Found out I can buy a dozen farm fresh eggs for 4-5$. A bunch of sellers on Craigslist in the area. Also selling duck and quail eggs. Cool

    how to pickle eggs?

      Anonymous

      >boil
      >peel
      >submerge in pickling solution

Laziest way would be just buying a large jar of pickles and use that, add some extra vinegar and salt, bring to a boil, pour over eggs in a jar. Make sure nothing is floating on the surface.

better question is: how to make best picking solution for eggs?
dill, garlic, horse raddish, how much salt per 1l of water? anything else?

I used 50g salt and 100ml vinegar concentrate (1:4) with 900ml water, but I see recipes with ratios all over the place. Looks like what's more important is to have clean gear and keep the eggs down.

They're just such good value for their cost. I'm kinda poor and I can get 30 eggs for 5€ here, so I make sure to eat at least 3 a day.

how many chickens? post coop and feed, please

31, don't have any pictures of the coop apparently so here is the barn the coop is in. I'll take more pics when I get home. It takes up the back wall and is built around a window so the birds can get in and out. Over the winter I've just been feeding them chicken feed from rural king. Can't remember what kind but the bag has a lot of orange on it. Since the snow has melted the birds mostly free range now. I saw one eating a dead frog a few days ago

in Dawson, during the klondike goldrush, an egg would sell for $84 a pop!
One of the wealthy miners was so incensed at his favorite prostitute giving up the game and getting married that he bought every egg in town, had them boiled and fed to the dogs. Eggs were her favorite food. Frick her!

reading a book about the Klondike Goldrush atm.

    I love eggs.
