>every restaurant is overpriced slop. >Hey anon you should try this lil hole in the wall, it's pretty good!

>every restaurant is overpriced slop
>Hey anon you should try this lil hole in the wall, it's pretty good! (it's not)
>Anon this place is a little pricier but the food is amazing! (the wait is ridiculous and it's not amazing)
>anon... try NOOOOO
It's so over. I hate paying these outrageous prices for mediocre at best food. Time for the industry to collapse. I will be cooking at home on an indefinite basis.

Actually I agree with this one. But I am unfortunately cut off from such fine establishments.

i have been feeling the same way lately. i don't even know why i bother anymore, even a frozen pizza is better than what most restaurants offer, and i don't have to worry about a dumb min wage moron messing with my food.

      >every restaurant is overpriced slop
      Yes.

There are no good deals. Even a buffet knows how to make their money.

The only reason to pay a place to make your food is you don't know how to make said food. The rest is just you paying for convenience.

All the Mexican places near me are genuinely inedible. I have no idea why they're still in business, maybe they're money mules. I couldn't finish a taco from there and you have to try extremely hard to make a taco taste bad.

where the frick are you people eating? I'm a fairly picky eater and all the places I go the food is great. some places or ok, but I've only been to 2 restaurants in my life where the food was bad enough I never returned.

I've been to places where the food was not my thing, but could see why people like it.

so I think you are poor or lying.

I only like Indian restaurants nowadays. The waiters are rude but the cooks actually make authentic food unlike Chinese, Mexican, etc.

      >authentic
I'd rather not have "authentic" versions of ANY of those cuisines. Authentic Indian means I will get food poisoning, Authentic Chinese means gutter oil and dog meat (plus food poisoning?), and Authentic Mexican is just food poisoning too.

I will take the marginally safer Americanized versions ANY day of the week. Also, I've been all over the world, Mexico included, the first world has better food, hands down. We just do. Libshits who hate America are just artificially hyping poorgay cope foods from 2nd and 3rd world countries.

why would someone just lie on the internet like that?

its true california-mexican food and colorado-mexican food is better than mexican food. im sure texan is a similliar story
only oxacan can compete and thats just because none of the immigrants come from that far south

          Colorado-Mex is dying out
No one knows how to make a Mexican hamburger anymore, and half the places don't make Denver chili either, it's just green chili

Oh look another thread where poorgays whinge about being unable to afford eat out. Maybe try learning to cook? This is a cooking board after all. Finance trouble belongs on Culinaly or some board that is certainly not Culinaly.

Restaurant hate threads are always just poorgay threads. They always act like they make better food at home, but you know that's not true, because they never talk about cooking.

your problem is you aren't retired.

    >go to restaurants between 3 and 4pm monday through thursday
    >no crowds
    >no screamin' kids
    >wait staff recognize you
    >manager comps you free stuff for being so friendly and pleasant.
    >almost no wait time for food
    >wait staff more relaxed

I've been to almost every good sit down restaurant in 5 miles from my house and 90% of the restaurants are good to excellent.

never go to restaurants friday-sunday or any special day or holiday.
