    hard-boiled egg yolks. they're usually so very dry and even powdery. I accidentally choked on a whole yolk until I was turning blue when I was 5, and my mother ran downstairs and heimlich'd it out of me. fricking took all the joy out of dyeing œster eggs that year.

        idk why everyone is so afraid of leftovers. Ive eaten shit way longer than a week in the fridge. If it's really old but doesn't smell bad just boil it to kill the salmonella and botulism.                 its only partially correct. botulism toxin and active bacteria are killed by boiling but the inactive spore state requires pressure-canning to kill. that's why meat products are pressure canned instead of water bath canned. the spores aren't harmful to ingest but they can become active and make more toxins if they aren't destroyed.

    My worst experience was just a dry hamburger. My workplace ordered out and I told them to just give me a hamburger. They brought me a dry hamburger patty between two dry buns. Was so dry a portion of it got lodged in my throat and I felt like I was breathing through a straw for like 30 seconds until I could stumble to a bottle of water which dislodged it. Some of my coworkers actually made fun of me for it but it was a really horrible and traumatic experience.
