takeout chinese isn't really much better. what you could buy at a grocery store and cook for $12, now that's a different story.

chinese is significantly better than mcd and i don't buy/order either.
I cook more often than the vast majority of people but I can't deny the convenience of take away Chinese every now and again.
Lunch specials, friend. For $14, I can get an order of curry chicken with onion and one of beef and broccoli, each coming with sides of fried rice and choice of egg roll, soup (wonton, egg drop or hot and sour) or a can of soda. Because I'm not a fatty fatty fat fat, that's four meals for me. Can't really beat it, as far as take away goes.
By having a drive thru. I'm fully convinced that the convenience of not having to leave your car is what's keeping overpriced slop like McDonald's alive.

Can i drive a car while rating your food? If they answer is no then i am skipping your shop. Sorry, i am busy. The McDonalds fry box is perfect for tilting up to your mouth and eating out of. And burger can be held in one hand easy enough. Taco Bell is also good because the burritos can be held without making a mess.

If i go to McDonalds i might get through the line in 5 minutes. Try that at any other place and it will be more like 15 to 20.

McDonalds has the best coke. I cant trust some no-name place to have proper equipment and standardized ice levels to get me a proper drink for my meal.

When I worked McDonald's we were massively concerned with the quality of the soft drinks. The coke representative would come by once a month for a random inspection and would bust our balls if he caught something like that.
Your balls must've been permanently blue. Health inspections are public records and mold in the drink machines always comes up.
We would clean those nozzles each night and the post mix pipes once a week. Wtf is America doing?
fast food has been indoctrinating people for years to only eat at their restaurants. now they essentially have a captive client base who cannot eat anything else so they are slowly raising prices to see what the market will bear.

ma and pa place that is only a buck or three more expensive than mcdonalds is empty, meanwhile there is a huge line of crossovers and big crewcab trucks in line at mcDonalds.

I can get fast food at any hour, the local place opens at 11am then closes at 2pm, then when they open again at 4pm that great deal is not on offer.
if you're spending more than 4 bucks at mcdonalds you're doing it wrong
