Finally tried this after moving to California recently. It's only a tiny bit better than a mcdonald's burger maybe - ain't worth the hype that's for sure! And the fries are utter dogshit. Major disappointment.

    >trying so hard that pretending McDonald's is in the same league as any local chain
You can get the fries well-done. Otherwise, In-N-Out fries 100% have to be consumed immediately as they become soggy even faster than other places.

      In-N-Out isn't a local chain you tardbot.
      It's regional

"animal style" how pathetic and programmed can you be to order shit like that?

True, I get them human style instead. Goes great with fava beans.

I actually kind of like their fries, they taste a lot like shoestring potatoes. Which were a staple in my childhood school lunches.

Be prepared for Caligays defending this by saying
    >"You have to tell them how well done you want your fries, or else they'll be undercooked!"
Yeah, so their fries just suck then. It's like the equivalent of saying you have to tell the server at a diner that you want your toast toasted, or else you'll just get some regular bread.

Fries are just fine as they are, but many don't prefer them

        >many don't prefer them
ain't that the truth, soggy ass shit fries and they're always cold for some reason because they hire dumbass high school kids to work at in n out

      caligay here

in&out fries are trash, theyr're "improved" by being well done but thats because they good the fries from fresh cut potatoes, meaning theres too much fricking water in them.

all fast food fries are freeze dried or cooked twice (pommes frites) if theyre gonna be halfway decent

that said, in n out burgs are solid, the price point is excellent, and anyone who says a double double animal style is a mid or shitty burg is trolling or has complete pleb taste (or has had the burg of the gods for 3 bucks elsewhere, so by all means share)

still kinda pissed they dont do super huge burgs, they only go up to 4x4. nigh impossible to eat cleanly but its100% worth doing once
(or whenever/every time if you aint a b***h)

Why in your right mind would you move by choice to California?

In N Out is a baseline for a burger in California. No matter where you go, the worst local burger you can get still has to compete against them. It's a bit better than the rest of the country, much like many things here. You don't go to a low-mid priced fast food restaurant like it's some destination spot lol.

That's sad and not a positive reason to move to a shithole like california.

Too bad those places have enough people to overrule the rest of the state politically.

LA has some weird vibes, I rode through on a bus at night, and the vibrating stuff on the bus almost sounded like it was talking, it was satanic and surreal, pretty creepy

The only people that prefer In-N-Out over Five Guys are people that haven't tried Five Guys. They are superior in every way.

That seems pretty deranged, choose one and it's a shithole, pick the other and it's a shithole. No matter the "choice" it's still a shithole.

5 guys is objectively better than in&out but the price puts it on par or below for what you get. if you dont give a shit about spending $20+ for a burg and fries combo, sure hit up 5 guys

In&out is under $10 still. fries are admittedly trash so just double down on burg and get a shake or w/e

any other autists avoid popular chains because the lines are too long or they require esoteric secret menus? I don't go to in-n-out or chick-fil-a for those reasons. How was I supposed to know I was supposed to know the secret to not get shit fries? what do you mean I'm supposed to know what sauce to ask for on my chicken sandwich? frick these buttholes

      >esoteric secret menus
they have the entire "secret" menu listed on their website. if you were a real autist you would have checked that before going in person.

Fair enough, at the end of the day it’s still just a $5 ground beef sandwich, you can’t expect the world. You have to admit the restaurant does have a more wholesome chungus vibe compared to other fast food places.
