Sausage and chicken is filler, stick with beef and lamb, avoid the salad bar except for choice bits like cheese
Don't fill up on bread stay focused and request lamb right off the hop

If you go to a churrascaria, go with friends. Eat, talk, eat, talk. Just by doing that you eat way more than what you usually eat.

This, enjoy it in courses. Drink. Food tastes best with a little buzz going on. Enjoy all your favorite marinated salads, enjoy sides, enjoy meat as it goes by. Just keep your chimmichurri dips ready and refilled. I'd forgo any turkey, but the rest is your whim.

      Hope this helps.
Also I'm taking this opportunity to ask...what the frick is going on?
Every...literally every Brazilian steakhouse in my state closed during/in the aftermath of covid closed down.
Again I ask, wtf is going on?....

        >Every...literally every Brazilian steakhouse in my state closed during/in the aftermath of covid closed down.
        Have you bought meat recently?

          Anonymous

Yes. It's more expensive. I get that.
But why not just raise their prices like everyone else?
Besides, the one closest to me closed because they refused (for whatever reason) to renew their lease.
But that's what got me looking for another option for Brazilian steakhouses and come to find 4 or 5 in my area that had shut down as well. I assume owned by different people. That just seems like an inordinate amount of Brazilian steakhouses to shut down in a short amount of time

Idk. Rent goes up, wages go up (combined with lack of staff thanks to gibs), raw material prices go up, demand probably goes down, too (due to the price)

I can only imagine the margins at a place like a brazillian steakhouse might be thinner than most other restaurants, so it wouldnt take much for them to fold. You also dont know how over leveraged the owners were before the coof, which may have just finished them off

Let me guess, you're going to the new one in Richmond VA?

Always pick medium rare, they run out of it the fastest so it's always the freshest. If you get sausages just have a few bites, they put non-meat filler in there to fill you up faster. Skip the salad bar, it's not worth it unless you get smoked salmon (if that's your thing)

Reminder that fatty cuts will fill you up the most, fat just triggers the brain to release leptin and cease ghrelin production extremely fast so you will just blow your proverbial load early.

The lamb is just okay, don't expect to be impressed. If you sit near the central cooking pit you can see when the new skewers are loaded up, just waive those frickers over to you the second you see them leave the pit room.

    Have fun!

request picanha every time a waiter passes your table or glances at you
refuse everything else offered to you
do not pick up anything at the salad bar

You'd be surprised how much meat you can eat
It's the damn carbs and delicious sides that'll slow you down, they are definitely tasting but if you wanna maximize meat, you gotta skip them or save them for the very last if you'd like to try them

    >any tips or tricks on how to maximize my meat intake
realize you are not at a fancy restaurant, you are at a texas road house where the servers wear button ups instead of t shirts

if you want to "maximize" the amount of meat you eat, maybe don't eat the things that aren't meat?

    >any words I can share to the server to get the best cut?
not if you don't speak spanish
also they only serve small portions of meat on the stakes so I'm not entirely sure how you think you're some how getting a poor cut of meat when even your picture you posted shows the only cut of meat you get is either one they cut, or no meat at all because you said no

    >any other tips

you must be right, chain restaurants like fogo de chao are the pinnacle dining experience at malls across the country. my mistake

              Anonymous

So by your criteria, a restaurant should be a standalone location and not a chain as well? That's a pretty obtuse view, none of that pertains to the actual dining experience

Just sit at the table with an empty plate and never decline red meat. Frick any chicken or cheap shit, just cuts of beef and lamb. They'll keep bringing it over and over. Last time I went to a churrasco they literally gave me about 2 ribeyes worth before I was done.
Don't eat anything besides the meat. What are you gay? That's how you really get your money's worth.
Also ask them to bring you the rarest cuts.

  19. 4 weeks ago

Sit close to the kitchen entrance where the servers are coming out, so you get the first cuts. Sitting far away you might not get all the servers come to you.
