we all know you're going there to eat the assholes of japanese women. Stop pretending.

If you are indeed serious, I suggest 'Sushi', which is a Japanese dish of prepared vinegared rice (鮨飯, sushi-meshi), usually with some sugar and salt, accompanied by a variety of ingredients (ねた, neta), such as seafood — often raw — and vegetables. Styles of sushi and its presentation vary widely, but the one key ingredient is "sushi rice", also referred to as shari (しゃり), or sumeshi (酢飯)

there's a place called Tobita Shinchi in Osaka, last month I went there it was 40000 yen an hour for a 7/10 looking whore

That's like 200 bucks. What's the catch? Stds?

None. That's actually twice as much as what it'll cost you in Thailand. Should be safe if you don't go raw, STDs are probably just as risky as anywhere else.

Just telling your this thread has likely more to do with you showing off your so kawai tbh ne trip to japan than beeing a genuine attempt to increase your cuisinal experience because japan is not exactly a place that is not well known you are not the first tourist you know and every "secret" hot tip is found with a google search.

Looking at this board you really thought this needs more japan threads because the regular threads from the english teachers just dont cut it.

Just got back from a two week trip across japan. Spent 5 days in Shinjuku just walking distance from kabukicho.

Honestly, any random restaurant you try is going to be far better than your average restaurant in the states. I didn't have a single bad meal. If you hit up any place you hear about online, then chances are about 1,000 other tourists also heard about it, so get ready to wait up to two hours.

Kabukicho itself was fun to walk around, but none of the restaurants I tried really stood out compared to everything else I ate (that's not to say it wasn't worth it, it was definitely good).

Definitely check out Tsukiji outer market for sushi. There's a ton of great places there without lines. Omoide Yokocho is really close to kabukicho and is definitely fun to visit, but can get a little crowded. There always seemed to be an open seat somewhere though when we walked through.

If you want to try a ton of things at once, then find a more modern looking Izakaya (easier to order from). That's where I was able to find stuff like horse meat and raw chicken.

any standout yakitori joints? love eating weird pieces of chicken on a stick, but it was always expensive for absolutely no reason in NYC

Omoide is pretty much a strip of small yakitori bars. Outer market had quite a few stands where you could order them as well.

Omoide is a total fucking tourist trap, as is Tsukiji.

It's a flavour or style of cheese. It's similar to Velveeta.

Try this: Large ass Katsudon made by a former sumo wrestler.
"Katsudon Chiyomatsu" in Namba, Osaka. I'm trying to make this myself but I still haven't made a decent sauce for this.
