        it makes perfect sense.
some people only do things out of spite because they're moronic.
it's a marketing gimmick we've been using for thousands of years.

Bill Gates buying up farms so he can put more GMO in our product

        probably true though

        nope.
gates is buying farmland so he can force crop shortages.
he doesn't care about selling gmos since money is being removed from the nwo.

Takeout near universities will intentionally make the food fresher during the first few weeks of school, to make you hook on the product.

    >buy more slop goy, oppose to any nutritional value

If you actually make an effort to count kcal and macros, the food pyramid provides enough nutrition variation to keep a sedentary person thin, or give a bodybuilder sufficient protein.
The only mistake of food pyramid authors was assuming Americans have capacity for rational thought. Instead they interpreted "grains and potatoes" as "candy bars, tv dinners and coke".

        Anonymous

Nobody ever cared about the food pyramid, ever. Nobody ever talked about it or recommended it as something to follow despite seeing it. People talk about it more now than they ever did back when it was new.

But you're right about people not understanding it. They still don't understand it. It tells you to have 2 slices of whole grain bread with each meal and people are acting like it tells you to eat 6 full loaves. It tells you that you can eat a serving of meat and dairy at every meal and people act like it tells you to just not eat these things at all. People act like it tells you to not get naked and run through the streets but they do it anyway.

i wouldn't call the influence of agribusiness on these sorts of government programs a conspiracy. it's pretty run of the mill democratic capitalism.

    >companies using their largest potatoes for the family sized bags of chips and the smallest potatoes for snack sized bags
    that makes less sense, anon.
using bigger chips for smaller bags means they are able to sell less potato at a higher cost.

There's definitely a difference between a costco bag of ruffles and a supermarket bag of ruffles. If you ever buy bulk claussen pickles from Costco or Sam's Club, they'll be giant and also way less tender.
