Foreign sodas

Randomly got these from a Japanese grocery store and I’m now obsessed with them. What are some foreign sodas that you like?

OK, where in 7-11 do they stock melon soda or watermelon soda?

        Anonymous

In the soda section. Or, at least, they used to. In the early 2000s, 7-Eleven was experimenting with carrying Japanese stuff and they had melon soda in the fridge in metal bottles right next to all the other sodas.
Haven't been to Sev since uni so idk if they they still do. ymmv

    italian soda like san pelegrino

I know that's not very exotic but it's what I like
stuff like shin ramune is good too but in my experience, japanese sodas are less natural while italian soda is like 10% juice

We also make 100% juice soda by just mixing juice concentrate with carbonated water. I live in the US now and it amazes me that this isn't commonly done here.
I'm quite sad that I can't find a variety of concentrates anymore, either. A little under ten years ago, I could find all sorts of concentrates at various supermarkets. White grape/peach. Concord grape. Pineapple. Orange. Orange pineapple. Apple. Cranberry fruit punch. Regular fruit punch. Etc etc etc. All 100% juice, just concentrated. Nowadays, I'm lucky if I find apple. Everything is just orange now.

Well.. it’s not shelf-stable is it

I don't understand what point you're trying to make here, especially considering there are shelf stable juices sold in absolutely every single supermarket in the US.

You can absolutely find juice concentrate/nectar on the shelf. Look for the goya brand stuff, guava nectar is a good mixer for bombay sapphire

Fruit nectar is not concentrate. It's not even close to concentrate. It's fruit puree with added sugar and water. There's no concentration involved in any point of production.

Why do Japanese people love honeydew while the rest of the world loathes it?

I like honeydew soda. The actual fruit is just a letdown whenever I encounter it. Filler for cheap fruit salad.
