Fruit/Getting Back on Track

So I have been on a unhealthy kick eating bread and grains like cereal now and then. Also alcohol. I know it flushes out vitamins and good stuff from our bodies.

So I want to get back on a healthy meat and dairy primary diet but I also want to diversity eating fruit and vegetables every couple of days. I am fine with vegetables but fruit escapes me.

Is there any way I can integrate small amounts of whole fruit into my diet without it making me fat? Fruit has so much sugar. Is there any fruit that has lots of vitamins but very little sugar? Thanks.

It's good to know civilisation bloomed because of an unhealthy kick.

    >Is there any way I can integrate small amounts of whole fruit into my diet without it making me fat?
Getting fat on fruits is like having diabetes on apples, lol, lolmao even.

I have money now. I don't need to eat tons of simple sugars and unhealthy empty carbs. I'm slowing down the alcohol in the future though. I was the healthiest in my life in my 20s eating tons of meat and cheeses (LOVE cheese) and cheesy spinach. I can afford to go back to eating beef, chicken, lamb, fish etc now. Even though I use to never eat fruit or vegetables and very little bread and grains back then when I was at my healthiest, I want to add a LITTLE fruit and vegetables into my diet to get the vitamins back that I flush out when I drink. Hence me asking about nutritious low sugar fruit.

I get your point but there's no point in paying attention to the sugar content of a fruit unless you are diabetic. If you really can't imagine snaking on them you can squeeze a lemon or make drink homemade smoothies and stir-fry green beans.

Thanks. I wish they made those lemon and lime bottles that you use to squirt into food and drinks with actual vitamins on it. Also why the hell doesn't apple sauce have any vitamins? Can't they put them back in? What's the point of eating your fruit and vegetables when so much stuff has zero nutrition?

You can absolutely get fat eating bananas, they are carb bombs and as easy to eat as any junk food.

89 calories per 100g, unless you eat 2kg everyday and do nothing yeah.

100 calories per banana is a lot when the average person working a sedentary job needs less than 2k calories.

Its really not but ok. In general any hand fruit is around 80-100 calories. If you dont eat fruit because you can't spare 100 calories you are doing something wrong

100 calories per day is like 10 pounds per year. in 5 years you'll be 50 pounds overweight from fruit

They didn't have refined flour when the first civilizations flourished from the advent of agriculture. Their wheat products gave them much more nutrition than wonderbread. Cereal is also full of refined sugar, which we didn't have until the last few hundred years. Hopefully you're just acting moronic on purpose

I've been to thar sure many times.
Fruit has different sugars and usually fiber to counteract the sugars. You'll be fine. Just don't eat a whole basket of fruits. Eat them as a snack or as a desert. Some old recipes out there even include them in meat dishes.

I live rural but sometimes I use to drive more than an hour all the way into town the morning after I drank and eat a wide variety of stuff. Problem with that is you have to take the breading off and pick all the shrimp out of trays or else you will gain weight. I love the variety, but to eat at buffets you gotta work picking stuff out. So much waste. I only keep a few frozen fruits in winter at home.

Alcohol fricks with your metabolism and is full of empty calories. A shot of vodka is like 90 calories itself, and the average alcoholic will probably pound at least 8 of them. You'll lose weight by just not drinking anymore. Well you can't go to buffets anymore either, but that's besides the point.

Processed, probably heated which destroys more nutrients.

So why don't they put the vitamins back in somehow? Even if they did it would still be finally destroyed? Lemon juice should have a little vitamin c right?

Because those would be synthetic vitamins, and that's gay. Go eat a Flintstones vitamin if you're going to be a queer like that.
Learn how nutritional labeling works. There's things they don't have to legally put on, and if it falls below a certain percentage they can call it zero. E.g. a lot of diet sodas have a few calories but they can legally say it has zero calories. And if you're trying to get your vitamin c from lemon juice then you need your head checked.
Just quit alcohol. Once you've detoxed you'll realize how stupid all these questions are. I went through the same shit.

                >Yes goy, you don't need natural vitamins. Our synthetic is just as good! Now buy them and you can just keep eating McDonald's and Taco Bell for the rest of your life. No need for those yucky vegetables and fruits!

you piss out most of those vitamin pills
not saying they're worthless, but natural sources absorb much better

They're gone, anon. There's nothing to put back in. The are destroyed in the process.

A cup of blueberries is only 70 calories and there’s some evidence that they’re beneficial for your liver and gallbladder.

so make smoothies. add 1:2 ratio of berries (barely any sugar/calories but jam packed with vitamins and fiber) to whatever dairy you're drinking (preferably natural yogurt and preferably in the morning),half a banana for sweetness and wa la

how did you not immediately think of this

    >Fruit has so much sugar.
That is not going to make you fat.
    Avoid ADDED sugars.
Naturally-occurring sugars in fruit is not going to make you fat unless that's all you eat, which would be a nutritional imbalance, as it would be if you over-ate anything else: meat, veggies, candy, etc.
It won't make you fat all by itself. Just eat balanced meals and eschew the idea of:
    >Breakfast
    >Lunch
    >Dinner
That is an out-dated concept that no longer serves most people in modern times. Two healthy meals and perhaps one healthy snack, and the occasional (once or twice a week, at most) unhealthy one is perfectly fine so long as you're adhering to a caloric intake that matches your activity levels.

Are you fricking serious? Just eat an apple a day. If you haven't turned into Augustus Gloop after this daring diet choice you can try eating 2 a day, maybe 3

Chronic alcohol use blocks absorption of several B vitamins and some electrolytes like zinc. It also flushes electrolytes from your body every time you get drunk. Maybe google it dumbass.
