Vermontsama... I kneel. Should've bought more. The flavor, viscosity, how little I need to use compared to the super market slop. It really is incredible. I'm moving to the North East now. Best area I've ever been to in this country.

how are the prices? considering this stuff doesn't go bad, I've always assumed modern shipping infrastructure made it relatively standardized in price.

i don't get it are you saying this is better than any other real maple syrup or just better than the fake stuff?

Better than the fake slop. I had an ex gf from Florida who only had the fake stuff and claimed the real wasn't as good. I wanted to heem her through a fricking wall skull first. Dumb c**t.

new england + the nice parts of New York are the best parts of the country by far but frick it's impossible to live here anymore unless your parents left you like 10 million after dying early or you're some boomer with an insane pension

Vermonter here. I've literally never bought syrup in my life because everyone in my family who owns land has made their own for centuries. It's a good time.

Also, don't ask about our economy, housing market, opioids, homelessness, etc.

You guys ever experiment with other trees? I don't have much sugar maple or birch in my area (PNW) so I was wondering if something else could substitute in a pinch

remember, not everyone likes the same maple.

People who enjoy fake maple syrup generally prefer darker real syrup.

I personally like very light syrup a much more delicate and nuanced maple flavor.

I'm Swiss, but I get my maple syrup from Michigan, made from trees on my dad's place.
    Pretty good stuff.

There's no such thing as vermont syrup, funny enough. It's all quebec syrup stolen and stockpiled to rip you off! Funny, huh?

Fun fact about vermont/upstate ny maple syrup vs Canadian, they boil off just an extra percent or 2 of water, and it makes a huge difference. I've done blind taste tests and it's definitely clear.

I had to stop buying the good real stuff
I found I was eating pancakes and french toast so much, that the syrup would be gone in a month.
but If I buy a half gallon of log cabin, it lasts like 5-6 months
