>Tomatoes, celery, avocados, jalapenos, carrots, garlic cloves, bread, and fresh herbs
>Bags of frozen shrimp, salmon filets, and chicken drumsticks
>Ground beef, thin beef slices
>Some odds and ends (onion powder, garlic powder, peanut oil)
>1 bag of chips
>$160
When will this shit end? It gets more expensive every month. I mean, I'm basically averaging like $5-$10 per meal but it still feels like it breaks the bank to eat anything but rice and frozen chicken breasts

Where would any of this shit be cheaper? Keep in mind that I only buy their generic brands and shit they make in-house (like a baguette for my philly cheese steak)

        >Where would any of this shit be cheaper?
Wherever any of it is on sale. It sucks that it's like this now, but that's how it is.

        >Where would any of this shit be cheaper?
        Aldi, Costco, Sam's Club, BJs
My own Publix has many items cheaper than WalMart, especially BOGO sales where I get veggies by the bag, 2 bags of coffee, 10/$10 canned goods, Italian days to stock up on the pantry essentials, and so on. A bag of tangerines, onions or tomatoes will be $3 more expensive at WalMart. Their profit is found somewhere. Aldi has limes $2 bag, and only $.75 for green onions or cilantro. Avocades will be $1 for two of them when on sale.

Shopping at one store is a not a pro move.
I can tell you that Aldi has loss leader prices on their milk, eggs, and half of their produce.

You really think the cost of driving around wasting gas is less than what you save on sales?

If you go shopping with a list, you're fucked. If you store hop and get what's on sale, you're much better off.

This, can't only do the once weekly list anymore.
You have to have $$$ to save money and know you have enough food on hand for the next apocalypse. Replace and stock up for often used items, depending on your family & your usual recipes. You need a decent garage for storage, with a drinks fridge, or deep freezer and extra shelves You need a membership somewhere, and that will be where you buy literal pallets of your drinks, seltzers, waters and get fresh whole coffee beans in the 5lb bag. A slab of whole pork loin, or whole brisket, turkey breasts, 20 chicken breasts, and just portion it yourself. At the right time of year, something is on sale. Paper goods will always come from Costco. Bags of onions, tomatoes, potatoes, and Spanish items that might be cheaper at a Latino grocery might be only bought there.

    >When will this shit end?
Never but if you let the world economic forum control the world it will be softer
You will go back to being able to afford all the stuff you want but you won't be able to use your car every day, you won't be allowed to vacation overseas, you won't own your home and your gas oven and stove will be removed against your will, steaks will have a mandatory size that's way smaller than what you used to buy and you will only be allowed to eat them twice a week

The beef and shrimp are likely the most expensive of OP's grocery store visit. Post receipt.

Bro you need to weekly ad max and stock up when things go on sale. Just check online on whatever day the grocery ads become available and then plan around the sales.

It sucks but it's just how it is now. I only buy things in bulk that keep for a long time or I can freeze. The best things I started making were hummus and black beans from scratch because they're a cheap as fuck snack and side, respectively. Pretty much anything I can, I make at home now, from mayo, to chips, to fries, to bread.
