I love ice cream but I don't eat it all the time. I don't want to buy the really expensive kind in the small containers so I get the normal sized tubs of Bryers or Friendlies or whatever and only eat half of it.
I guess I'm not really saving any money when I'm wasting half of it

You can put it back in the freezer, yknow?

I'm making vanilla icecream right now since it's currently -11F with the windchill. Just put my regular stand mixer outside.

Delicious already. Tastes like a vanilla frosty with more air whipped into it. Into the freezer now.

Tillamook is garbage. Their pints might be better but the 1.5qt stuff isn't good.

Recently compared holiday cookie and peppermint bark flavors against BlueBell and was instantly reminded why I never buy the brand.

What's your point? In a side by side comparison BlueBell is better.
If you're suggesting that an ingredient label somehow trumps an actual side by side comparison, you are actually moronic.

Bluebell has better flavor, texture, and mix-ins. They also have less air and more fat.
You know these right? they're the things that actually matter in ice-cream.

which either is basically good enough. Plus Haagen has like twice the calories. tbh I'd rather just have a bowl twice as big for the same calories and half the price than marginally better quality.

        >Plus Haagen has like twice the calories
Because it has more fat content and is therefore better.

I know. My point is its only marginally better, but I can eat like 2x the amount if I get the cheaper ones.

They aren't really any better than Dreyer's/Edy's. Best thing about it is it's frequently cheap on sale.

It used to be Dreamery but the powers that be thought it was too good so they got rid of it. Just like you can’t have the real Cadbury chocolate in the USA, it is too good, it would destroy the competition so they had to get rid of Dreamery
