Harm of induced vomiting?

simple enough question with some context.
picrel was the appetizer to my dinner last night, I had a nice outing with a nice person. after having eaten the calamari, with bread and an espresso martini, I found myself unable to eat my entree when it finally arrived. I was embarrassed by this, so I excused myself to the bathroom and forced myself to puke, then came back and enjoyed my entree even more than I thought I would, it felt like I had started eating again from the beginning. Is there long-term detriment to making this a habit?

My whole life I’ve had problems with feeling like I was going to vomit while eating, or after eating. I didn’t feel any ill way afterwards without any stomach issue.

I know it's bait, but what exactly do you hope to get out of this thread?

somebody to tell me whether or not there are health detriments to making it a habit. I enjoy food a lot but fill up quickly, I want to maybe do it every so often when I’ve eaten too much at some kind of event or restaurant.

he just wants people to point out the black hands associated with the "nice person". The content of the actual post doesn't matter whatsoever. Just another race-bait thread.

not much short term, but long term you're going to cause damage from the stomach acid, it's bad for your esophagus (you'll irritate the lining and cause inflammation and bleeding) your dental enamel will break down over time too

          thank u

I'll guess I'll bite, even tho you're just attention whoring and won't do shit to fix your mentally ill eating habits.
You're heading straight into Bulimia or Comorbid Eating Disorders if you're a fatty. Something you should check with your family doctor who will refer you to a dietitian and CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, but I wish it were wiener and ball torture so homosexuals like you snap and start doing shit right) among other things.

    >alopecia (hair loss)
    >death, either by extreme malnutrition and dehydration or just suicide.
    >I could spend the whole fricking day talking about every single painful medical condition bulimia can cause.

I've been doing this for about 10 years. I usually only do it when I overeat in a "social" setting, for example, my gf's grandparents Easter bbq, when my dad makes too much grilled shit at his place, when my mom visits and makes a frick ton of food, when I have a bbq and I am entertaining 8+ people. The problem is exacerbated by drinking beer. I get uncomfortably full/bloated, if I am at my house, I excuse myself to the bathroom, put on a nitrile glove and puke into a bag. After that I don't eat again for the remainder of the day and drink water

I am relatively healthy, 32 yrs old, 5'10 160 lbs. However, I have noticed that I will get uncomfortably full/bloated with smaller quantities of food now so I eat less in general. Teeth are fine, but I do occasionally get heartburn. I would say that in the past 10 years I've engaged in this puking habit at a frequency of about 2-3x per week

    >Is there long-term detriment to making this a habit?
Yes. Stomach acid is irritating and cancer-causing to your upper esophagus, as well as extremely bad for your tooth enamel. It's okay to throw up sometimes, but if you make it a regular habit you skyrocket your chance of esophageal cancer. As long as you brush your teeth immediately after vomiting there'll be minimal damage to your teeth, but if you're not consistently doing that then you'll pretty quickly end up with a lot of tooth damage.
If you're only purging yourself like this once every week or two then you'll probably be fine, but doing it significantly more often than that is pretty dangerous to your health.

Anon, because of the acid on the teeth, brushing them before the PH is normlised will make it even worse because you're brushing of enamel. Same reason you shouldn't brush your teeth shortly after drinking acidic drinks like soft drinks or juice.

If you have a habit of intentionally puking up what you eat, then you have a mental disorder known as bulimia. The consequences of doing this should be pretty fricking obvious, but since you're asking, you probably haven't thought too deeply about them. You are making stomach acid go up through your throat and out through your mouth at a frequency neither are built to withstand. You will experience dental problems and gastrointestinal problems.

See a psychiatrist if you are suffering from bulimia. Also go see a dentist because your teeth are probably fricked if you're just now asking this.
