        You can try it with butter just cook at a lower temp so it doesn't burn. EVOO will work but will taste olivey.

      It's dry and crumbly if you eat it cold, because butter solidifies while oil doesn't. You have to take the cake out and let it sit for a while so the butter softens again.

    If you use butter you'll have to adjust your hydration off the top of my head you need to use five parts butter for every 4 parts of oil and subtract one part other liquid

      you see goyim, butter is not kosher unless there is a rabbi overseeing its production and only if its made a specific way. we can not discriminate against god's chosen people like this. seed oils on the other hand, are almost always universally kosher. A coincidence Im sure :^)

      Yeah just 1 to 1 swap with butter. Ghee may work better, depends on the recipe. I started doing this a while back and everyone things I'm incredible at baking now. I'm not. Literally just butter
