Have any of you ever had coconut aminos?

Have any of you ever had coconut aminos? I'm a fitizen looking for a soy sauce alternative for my steamed rice and chicken/veggies clean bulk meal

My favorite sauce for rice is Bibigo's Korean barbecue marinade. But it's soy based. Does anyone know if there's a decent barbecue coconut aminos sauce?

soy sauce doesn't have xenoestrogens like less processed soybean derived foods do

Really? That's the sole reason I made this thread.

That was what I've read and heard multiple times over the years. I don't remember if I ever tracked down any real research about it because the problem with soy is mostly overstated unless you're a vegan and trying to replace all meat in your diet with it.

I looked it up and I'm paranoid because there's so many propaganda articles about how soy doesn't increase estrogen. Mostly redditors homosexuals. I dated a girl who's doctor literally told her to take soy to increase her estrogen because she had a hormone imbalance and needed birth control to regulate it but the birth control was making her bloated and depressed.

She started taking soy and her estrogen levels rose to a healthy level. Whenever I read articles about "soy doesn't actually turn to estrogen" from vegans or parroted by redditors I know they're just morons.

That said what you say about soy sauce may be true, but I'm afraid to risk it without any concrete evidence solely due to all the pro soy propaganda. Scientists literally turned catfish female with soy. Thanks for weighing in regardless, I'll see if I can find any concrete studies on the soy sauce doesn't contain estrogen thing.

the fermentation proocess or whatever they use to make soy sauce destroys all of the phytoestrogen content so it's fine to use. Don't eat edamame.

Like I said, soy does contain exogenous estrogen, but it's only a problem if you eat tons of it. It's just too fun to joke about to discuss seriously most of the time, then vegans make it into a political style issue

              >soy does contain exogenous estrogen
Except it doesn't and phytoestrogens, which you are referring to, dont attach to the beta receptors so its irrelevant

Doctors literally tell people to eat soy to decrease estrogen levels during menopause. It relieves the symptoms caused by excessive estrogen. Your friend was lying, there is much scientific literature on usage of soy to decrease estrogenic activity.

              >during menopause. It relieves the symptoms caused by excessive estrogen.
Menopause is a reduction of estrogen.

Yeah I was going to correct him on that but realized it's not even worth responding to. He proved my point without even realizing the actual reason doctors prescribe it.

I have a bottle of coconut aminos in my fridge, it tastes like sex. Makes everything taste better. I don't think I'll buy it again though, it has too much sugar and it's relatively expensive.
Coconut aminos taste like soy sauce but doesn't get offputting when there's too much of it like soy sauce does.
Soy is nasty and worth avoiding. I don't care what "Science" (tm) claims about muh' soy is "Safe and Effective." My body is sensitive, when I eat something soybean oil I get all inflamed. Or when I tried drinking soy milk, it made me feel like shit.
But a little bit of soy sauce seems okay.

                > Bibigo's Korean barbecue marinade
                > Ingredients:
                > Soy Sauce (Water, Hydrolyzed Soybean Protein, Salt, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Defatted Soybean, Wheat, Distilled Alcohol, Koji), Sugar, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Pear Puree (Pear, Ascorbic Acid), Onion Puree, Water, Garlic, Apple Puree (Apple, Ascorbic Acid), Cooking Rice Wine, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Salt, Seasoning Sauce (Maltodextrin, Hydrolyzed Wheat and Soybean Protein, Sugar, Salt, Corn Syrup, Glucose, Onion, Yeast Extract, Garlic, Green Onion, Spices), Green Onion Extract (Green Onion, Corn Syrup, Salt), Black Pepper Powder, Ginger Extract (Ginger, Maltodextrin, Salt), Citric Acid, Xanthan Gum, Caramel Color, Sesame. Contains Wheat, Soybean

Dude just make your own marinade. Buy the ingredients individually, leave out the bad shit and mix them together. I'd be avoiding the HFCS not the soy sauce.

Yeah just had the Bragg's. was 6 dollars for 10 ounces, pretty expensive. I'm thinking if I mix it with a barbecue sauce it'll go further.

The Bibigo's also has soy beans in it as you pointed out. It has the best flavor I've had in rice but is straight liquid goyslop.

Would you have any recipes to make a "soy sauce barbecue" I could do except with this coconut aminos? Alternatively I could do what the other guy said and use Worcestershire sauce as the base

I've tried it and it tastes pretty nasty on its own. But I think you could make an okay marinade out of it, that said I would use a little bit of marmite/vegemite instead if you just want something really salty

just use worcestershire sauce moron-kun. it's not like you'll be able to taste the difference if your palate is trained on plain chicken breast and steemed veggies. honestly the more complex flavors in worcestershire would probably taste better.

I don’t know about the hormone aspect of it but another consideration is that most “soy sauce” is actually “wheat with some soy sauce”.

To answer your question I have tried a few of these and I enjoy that it’s kind of like a mellower, slightly sweet version of soy sauce. If I remember right they carry it at Trader Joes at a reasonable price.

Reading half of this shit won't bother with much more
    Fearful of b***h everything
Look here the body is amazing
Only your silly mind is a shit hole
Enjoy soy products and that's it
Avoid going off into the deep end so often understanding you problem is in your head, so pulll it out your ass
The real deal is soy is not a problem since you body has mechanisms to balance itself, and that is all you need to know, that is unless you are a special someone with a degree in biology to do the science while also having the funding to end up with good enough results to publish in cell, nature or science
