Maybe? Not 100%, but I think one or two places I've eaten at on the west coast were starred. I don't remember them for the star, just the food experience.
yes, the food was overpriced and the place was pretentious as fuck. they had a sommelier available to help with brunch wine pairings. $250 for two people and we left hungry because the portions were undersized.
Yes. I've eaten at Topolobampo and Alinea.
Topolobampo (1 frog star,) is much, much, much^3 more about the the food. Bayless created a wonderful atmosphere to serve food grounded in a culture, in tradition. It is wonderful.
Alinea is like going to an art exhibition. Yes, of course tasty food matters, but the experience is much more postmodern. The emphasis is on the experience. That may seem twisted or oxymoronic, but if you've been, you'll understand.
Of the two, I'd go back to Topolobampo 1st, unless my wife divorces me and I have a date and I'm trying to get laid.
A "contemporary" restaurant in Stockholm, Sweden. ***
A sushi place in Los Angeles, CA. **
The "contemporary" was not something I enjoyed that much, but now I know. It was interesting, and tasty, but it felt more like "cutting edge" cuisine rather than something pushed to be as tasty as possible. The other two restaurants I would happily return to.
I did, twice. A one star japanese place, it was very okay, wait stuff was Japanese and so was the chef. Another one star place, this time modern french cuisine. It was more like a meme, waiters were doing funny jokes and bits to create an atmosphere or some shit just fuck off and serve with a smile
Yep, twice. Both only had single stars, both in England
Mana in Manchester, which was really good but expensive - went for the wine pairing and it came to just over £800 for the both of us. Don’t get me wrong, the food was fantastic (don’t have the menu to hand right now)
First place was called ‘John’s house’ in a small village in Leicestershire called Mountsorrel. Honestly did not expect such an incredible meal and experience from this little village I’ve passed through many times. The price was a lot better than Mana (Inc wine pairing I wanna say maybe £500 for both of us?), the setting much cosier and the food focused on local farmed stuff (excluding the raw Orkney scallops) and fancy twists on comfort food. Perfect for the time of year - think it was similar to this time last year
We’ve tended to enjoy places that are in the guide but are currently trying to get their first star. Lot more of them around, and we’re not often in larger population centers. Going here soon: https://www.wildshropshire.net/
Oh this looks great! Annoyingly, the closest I’d be able to get is Skipton. I’m actually starting to compile a list of fine dining places accessible from the canal (my home), hence the places I’ve gone so far. It’s only a 10 minute cab ride though so I’ll add it to the list to check out, thanks!
recently went to Konjiki Hototogisu in Shinjuku. michelin star ramen for $7. had to eat it within like 7 minutes though because thats what they do there
No because I recently found out that cities have to pay Michelin before they send reps to eat at its restaurants before they dole out stars and my city doesn't want to pay them (kind of based honestly)
I dont remember the places name but it was by the KU gaybar in London,
me and my ex got asian good, we got shrimp wontons. sweet and sour chicken, and she got a beef curry. All of the food was amazing, but what really fucking sold me was the drink I got. I got this ice tea that was fucking slamming, i'd kill for it, pic rel.

Honestly impressive, this is way more homosexualy and pretentious than any other variety of "yes" could be. In awe, you are an artist my friend.
thank you CHEF
I went to a few and their food tasted like rubber
I was looking for food but they only had tires
Yeah same. Smelled like rubber too. Great portion sizes though
>scores are based on how far you should drive
wow so it's literally just like Dave's pizza scoring system but only rookie scores are allowed.

yes, food was great but not as great as I would have hoped
wine pairing was amazing though
$250 for 2 people isn't expensive poorfag
fuck off billionaire
yea they had a pretty decent vending machine selection in the waiting room
I just dropped $500 at El Ideas in Chicago. It was fun.
>$500 meal
>jpeg artefacting on menu

Yes, three of them.

Yes, I have "ate" at a Michelin starred restaurant. Have you ever use grammar correctionitiously?
Yeah. It wasn't better than other restaurants.
I had managed to go to 4 of 6 restaurants that got a star in the recent Atlanta Michelin guide. So yeah, my taste is exceptional
Yeah many times since I used to live in Silicon Valley. The 1-Michelin star places are the best food I've ever eaten.
Yep, twice. Both only had single stars, both in England

I've eaten at https://angelhetton.co.uk/ and it was very very good. Not crazy expensive for food of that quality.

I ate it 4 years ago and it was a food restaurant. It has to be

In a few countries. tbh I generally prefer the ones that are on the list but don't have a star.
Yes, at the Inn at Little Washington. 700 dollars 1st yr wedding anniversary. Amazing meal though.

And the meal, the only starred resturant I went too and holy shit they earned it
