I don't get it. So the Simpsons is western animation that is outsourced and actually animated in korea? Does that mean the Simpsons is anime?

I don't know how they do it now. Traditionally The Simpsons, and a lot of other American cartoons, did the "key cels" in America and outsourced a lot of the inbetween cels to other countries.

Something being animated in Korea doesn’t make it anime. Korean comics aren’t manga either

What about when you're roasting chicken and it just splatters chicken grease all over the place while cooking?

Who cares? Everytime you cook something it sterilizes the oven anyway

... I cover mine in parchment paper so it doesn't do that, makes it taste/cook better too.

I cook whole chicken in a pot, removing the lid at the end for browning.
I cook breasts in a pan.

Most stuff you want in the oven instead of a pan are better wrapped in foil.

When I first bought my house I did the automatic oven clean and wiped it out. Recently i tried a new cake recipe and it overflowed and got all over the bottom
I was going to clean it but ended up using the oven everyday after for like 10 days and it just slowly burned off, turned to ash.

    >B-but the smell
Yeah, my hood vent was in overdrive. Everything it couldnt handle I just dealt with, frick it.

Same, I cleaned it after every use for the first month but it's such an ordeal eventually I started slipping and now at best it gets a quick wipe down with a wet paper towel if I spill some olive oil or seasoning on the oven glass.

Our oven has a high temperature cleaning mode that carbonizes all the shit inside, but... last time I used that, I think it was the outer glass layer that suddenly shattered. My mum thinks that might've happened since she opened a window and a cool breeze might've hit it, but who knows.

I live my parents and my dad is a slob so hes always dripping shit in the bottom of the oven because he shoves things in it too fast then it burns to a crisp on the bottom of it. I've found so many carbon pepperonis down there before.

One time the bake element exploded because of all the shit that kept getting spilled on it. It left lumps of metal stuck to the bottom of the oven that we had to grind off with an angle grinder. When those things break apart they make the loudest fricking arcing sound.

I don’t worry about chems and toxins in food it’s part of life. But I draw a line at blasting something with over cleaner and then using it for food. I’ll take my chances with the grime

The last time I did self clean years ago a small fire started inside the oven and i couldn't open the oven because it made me lock the oven to start the self clean and i slightly damaged the lock getting it open and now a little bit of heat escapes from the oven because of the bent lock. I dont clean the oven anymore.

A plumbing crew destroyed many rooms in my home including the kitchen. I am receiving all new major appliances. The new ovens and ranges are much easier to clean with steam.

Never use the high-heat carbonization function. There isn't adequate insulation in almost any oven today for that high temp and you will melt the motherboard, cards and sensors. Steam clean is fine. This is according to my contractor and confirmed by the sales staff at my appliance dealer. Citric acid powder (Maillard) has kept my ovens squeaky clean with only two or three annual wipedowns.

I had to one time after the thin shitty plastic cutting board I was using to cut up the vegetables to roast in the oven got stuck to the bottom of the sheet pan. Dealing with molten/burning plastic all over the inside of your oven fricking sucks. Scraped out as much as I could, then put it on full blast with all my windows open and fans blowing to get the fumes out. I don't own any plastic cutting boards anymore.
