when I was a kid in the '90s, Heineken tasted like one of the best easily available beers.
The last time I drank it, it tasted terrible. Did it really get so much worse over time or was I a tastelet back then?
Had it at an airport recently because it was either high-end local micros or low-end domestics. Tasted skunked, like most green-bottle and other international ones that are sent in glass. The bottled Michelob wasn't terrible.
Reminds me of my one trip to Macau in Choynah, the Tstingtao tasted great. Just as skunked as the Heinis from the supermarket back home.
>How are the women in that town?
ok-ish. large student population >Does the brewery do tours?
yes >What are the demographics of the workers in said factory?
almost all white men >I have no other curiosities
why did reddit come to Culinaly, steal our 'ask me anything' thread formats, shorten it to 'ama', then post here anyway?
>In Ireland it's delicious because the water here is high in minerals and has a high PH level >in Australia it tasted like garbage because the water is so much more alkaline
WHAT
Heineken in a can fresh isn't a bad beer at all. It's like $1.39 a tallboy here...it's a good choice when you just wanna have a couple ice cold beers after a long day.
beer is for try hard men and fat niggas with bitch tits. enjoy your liquid estrogen. maybe 100 years ago beer was based, but now you might as well call it tranny juice
yeah and while its overpriced its the only beer you can get literally anywhere in any country and know its gunna be better than most local shit, especially if you're backpacking through asia or 3rd world shitholes
They are ok if they havent gone skunky. But thats it, just ok, and usually more expensive than other lagers that taste the same. I cant remember the last time I had one tbh, places that serve it generally have better options
> how to detect an asshole american
Heineken is a very bottom tier beer in Europe. Sure there is worse (hello 33 Export) but with Kronenbourg and 1664 it's a perfect way to say you have no taste in beer.
If you want a generic brand with a better reputation it would be Leffe or Hoegarden.
Blacks like it because it tastes like skunky weed and they thinking over paying for something makes it better. I pick up a 12pk of the stuff once every couple of years, it's okay.

The freshness and storage of Heineken is everything. One of the beers that will shit the bed the fastest of not careful, properly rotated, etc.

heineken was my favorite until i tried peroni. peroni was my favorite until i tried carlsberg.
One green bottle to rule them all
haven't tried it because it's the same price for 4 as for a 6 pack i know i like
Well get in there, pussy.
But anon, those bottles are nearly pints. What you like is probably in 11.2 ounce bottles. It's not that big of a difference and you need to try them.
I live near the brewery, AMA

I like what I'm hearing but unfortunately buying Grolsch takes an hour just to hit the local carrier and back. I live in an isolated part of FL

Everybody who came to Culinaly post 2015 started off on reddit. Mist anons still lurk and post there.
because r/Culinaly and weekly Youtube "Best of Culinaly greentext" compilations exist
Here in Ireland it's delicious because the water here is high in minerals and has a high PH level.
When I was in Australia it tasted like garbage because the water is so much more alkaline.

What does the water have to do with it? Also as PH goes up things become more alkaline. Low PH is acidic. Ya dingle dangle dongus

When I first started going to pubs I'd order Heineken or kronenburg if I was feeling flush. Usually I'd get fosters.
I was a kid. I didn't know better.
I still get nostalgia cravings for an ice cold pint of Heineken and a Lambert & Butler.
just a terrible beer for college students
What's a good beer for each school level?
that's a wine cooler.

Heineken is ok. I've had much worse. Only problem I have with it is the cost is just not worth what you get.
Try Bellavista.
