very funny cope right out of the gate it tastes like ass. I got icelandic cod liver and eat it once a week with heavy duty mustard on bread to hide the flavor. worth it for health, but dont be delusional.

i think i paid two or three dollars for the cans i bought when i was on a kick. [...]
i use it like pate, it's pretty vile by itself, would be like eating bacon grease right off the knife. you gotta have it on bread with something sharp like pickles, onions, mustard or horseradish.

pic related is the one I tried, it was great tasting even by itself.
it's smoked and from "bacalau" which is dried and salted cod.

This. You cannot just eat it straight out of the tin, it's like drinking oil out of a bottle. You need to pad it with stuff. Pickles, capers, finely minced onions (or leek), a light splash of lemon juice or light vinegar, or maybe a dusting of sumac.

In was different but no better or no worse than deenz, canned oysters, etc.

It had a nice creamy texture and a then firmness of silken tofu, but with a slight fishy flavor and a mild iron flavor like liver

    >The local store where I buy banga cod liver seemed to have stopped stocking it
Fuck. The issue with cod liver is that half of the tin is its own oil. But other than that, it's like the most clean tasting deen in taste
