Holy shit, it really works.

Holy shit, it really works. The maple syrup perfectly duplicates the fenugreek flavor that makes your curry taste "real."

Not the person you're replying to. Spruce is horse shit. Sensationalist clickbait. Please don't link any more. We know there's tons. We don't care. We've got lives to live and proper feasts to cater to. And we don't want to ruin them with spam sausage/99.5% of the internet.

NTA but those websites that talk about substitute ingredients are usually unreliable, they'll tell you stuff like to substitute anchovies with sardines or kaffir limes with basil

It's like licking the bottom of a lawn mower
Don't ask me why it makes butter chicken so good, it is a mystery

Crush it up in your hand and smell it, it have a maple aroma to it that also will taste much different when added to a curry as opposed to just eating it dry, and the aroma affect the way it taste

Interesting, it looks like only artificial maple syrup has the artificial fenugreek compound. Also if you Google "maple syrup fenugreek" most of the results are scientific articles explaining why pajeets smell so bad

In my area of eastern canada there is a regional dish in all of our fancy brewpub restaurants: maple curry chicken penne.
Honestly I've had it from a bunch of restaurants and find it to be mid, but people go nuts for it. It's a mild sauce so it's almost a variation on alfredo.
