I made it this morning for the first time. Relatively easy to make, takes 20-30 minutes including cook time. Served it with garlic naan; twas dank.

making acidic tomato sauce in a cast iron pan is for degenerates. enjoy the flakes of rancid burnt food in your sauce.

Same here, I made the Italian version of the dish that Laura Vitale showed on her Laura in the Kitchen channel and it was disappointing. The tomatoes and the eggs didnt even go together very well like that, I much prefer diced tomates in scrambled egg

It's ketchup on eggs for people who want to pretend they're too sophisticated to put ketchup on breakfast.

Does it have rice or potatoes or something? No way I'm just eating eggs for breakfast.

No, there are variations, but basically it's tomatoes, onions, pepper as the main ingredients. But I've eaten some with chorizo or merguez in. Some with feta crumbled in. I've eaten it with pita bread, or crusty bread.

It looks good but it doesn't sound like a good breakfast imo. Only eggs is too heavy on fat which makes you slow and there are barely any carbs in it which you need in the morning.
Do you eat it everyday or is it more of a Sunday breakfast thing for you?

I don't eat it often, I'm not from that part of the world, I just have dealings out that way. It's more of a weekend thing also a popular hotel thing, I've learned locals also eat it for supper instead. I've only ever eaten a couple of eggs, or been served a couple anyway. The bread helps because it's quite rich with the spices.

Obviously you need fat in your diet I never said otherwise.

            >eggs is too heavy on fat which makes you slow
            No

How much bread do you eat with it and what kind of bread?

Nta but I usually do 2-4 slices of thick crusty bread depending on how much I made.

Sometimes I do it with like a cup of rice, it's also very good with legit tortilla chips (not that oversalted shit) if you happen to have them.

Same thing with the contents, you can add pretty much whatever you want if you want it to be more filling. Normally I do some chorizo, mushroom, vegetables I need to use up etc. if I'm gonna make it for dinner

              >How much bread do you eat with it and what kind of bread?
Depending which country I'm in, you either get baguette (i.e. French 'stick') or pita. I'd eat a couple of pita, especially if charred. Or about a third of a French stick. It also depends how much sauce you have to mop up. I must admit that it's a lot better with meat in it. Sort of lacks a little with just eggs and veg.

It's easy to cook yourself, I've done it a few times. Cooking down cherry tomatoes is best. Red onions. Red peppers. It's actually very tasty when using harissa, put some cumin in as well, a bit of reduced stock.
