You make a soft paste of avocado, then you spread it on bread.

sprinkle some salt on an avocado, grab a fork to mash the avo SLIGHTLY SLIGHTLY. and then use the fork to scoop it onto the toast and then sprinkle some flakey salt and chilli flakes. thats literally all you need. dont use fricking nonsense to take away from the simple pleasure.

yes because the small bit of salt helps melt it or something and then u put some flakes after too because salt is the best

    >avocado is too hard
no not really you can peel the skin off avocado and slice the avocado and place the slices over the bread and mush it with a fork. if the toast is toasty it won't be destroyed

Make sure you are using ripe avocados. You should be able to press down on it and have it be a little soft and squishy. If it's hard, don't cut it. Let it sit a day or two

This, your avocados are underripe, OP. Let 'em sit for a day or two.

If you're in a hurry and need the soft avocado now, you can cook it in the microwave. It won't make it taste good and ripe, but it will make even a hard, rubbery avocado soft enough to eat. Flavor's kinda poor though.

Unless you're making guacamole or a similar spread, you should never trust anyone who says to mash up avocado. A ripe avocado has a certain texture to it, and it should be added to a dish sliced, not mashed. It should still be soft enough to stick to your bread when you gently push down on it, but if you're mashing that shit up you've lost the plot.

I live in a place where you can plant avocado trees in your backyard and you are full of shit.

if you need a fork imo the avocado isnt ripe enough, you really want slices that are sort of smushed together

If I wait until the seed in the middle of the avocado can be mushed on the bread the skin and green stuff is brown and there are flies. What am I doing wrong, anons?

My avocado isn’t hard. It ranges from firm to buttery soft.
    You’re avocado may be unripe.

why bothers mashing it? just cut the avocado and put the slices on top of the bread
Avocado is not butter, you don't need to spread it
