My wife and I are polar opposites. She's a grazer; she eats a lot but in very small amounts, a handful of popcorn here or a couple pickles there. I eat meals, typically breakfast (an omelette or a high-protein waffle or something) and then supper, more often than not skipping lunch.

There actually was another graph on the site that was equal measurements.
Per serving is more useful for practical purposes. Just think about it, you cant actually eat many calories of raw leafy greens at once.

i eat 300-500 calories of snacks at work, usually peanuts
    no breakfast or lunch
i eat dinner when i get home
then i eat a late snack and dessert

That looks like a Dex build athletic diet. STR build would have more protein. A professional swimmer would probably need twice as many calories. I'm guessing a middle weight or lower boxer/mma fighter.

I think there's a proverb that goes like, "Eat breakfast alone, share lunch with a friend and give dinner to your enemy". I don't necessarily agree but there are those that think like this.

I eat one meal a day. Usually around 1500 calories. And one smoothie a day. Dunno how many calories. Usually half a cup of almond milk, a handful of spinach, handful of kale, handful of w.e. fruit I have, and handful of frozen fruit, + a scoop of amazing grass.

I mostly just eat lunch. Or skip lunch and eat dinner if I'm not working that day.
There are some days I don't eat at all tho.
What I eat is mostly leftovers from previous days. If I'm out I like making stews, soups or pasta bolognese. Gets me quite a lot of food so I can last a few days.

Probably 4000 calories. Depends what they serve at work, they have free food buffet style. I usually don't stick around for dinner but I'll make something simple like a burger, tacos, or a plate of meat, veggies and potatoes.

I usually make a one or two pot meal like bolognese, chilly, stew, soup etc. and it lasts me about 4 meals so I dont have to think about food for 48-72 hours.
Helps me focus on more important shit like work, school, family, and social life and entertainment. I used to eat fast food but it all sucks ass now plus its too expensive so its not worth it anymore. I always forget to buy snacks at the grocery store though which really helps soak up the alcohol while I'm cooking. I've finally matured enough to know to drink on a full stomach for practically no hangovers anymore. Feels good man

    ~1k cals rn,
I've come to running x2 lean cuisine frozen meals (supposedly ~350 cal per) and X3 bananas (~100 cal per)

Thinking of trying to make something with tuna on my day off (mostly cold dish tho cause only have a microwave rn)

Open to suggestions for changing it up tho since this place I'm staying at has a smallish grocery store <5 mins away (just know time & money are at a premium)

I don't think I have autism but I like to make daily meal plans that are both economic, easy to prepare, and hit >100% of RDIs. I'll typically follow the same diet for a month or two before switching it up, though I do get some variety when I eat out or have dinner at someone's house or something.

I feel like the amount I eat isn't much but it has to be. Probably around 5000 to 6000 calories. I only single ingredient, nutrient dense foods

A typical day is something like; loaded bowl of oatmeal for breakfast, 4 or 5 eggs (or a lean burger) for lunch with half an avocado and serving of rice, mid afternoon snack is a bagel with almond butter and a banana, second snack is usually a serving of greek yogurt, dinner is usually a bowl of diced chicken that's been marinated along with half an avocado

I lift 4 days a week and this diet seems to get me results

    so lunch
Mashed potatoes are 88kcal/100g; chicken breast about 165kcal/100g, thighs 177; Greek salad 101/100g
That's 1.25 kg of food for lunch, assuming you eat equal amounts of everything.

that is not a normal amount of food

      Anonymous

That's a fairly small amount of food for an average-sized person, I'd say? The main reason starchy-food cooks so fast and "lasts" so short is that there isn't much density to it. I wouldn't WANT to eat a double helping of potatoes in that timeframe, but I could easily.

The size of that lunch must be massive to be 1550 calories, I can't imagine eating 1000 calories worth of chicken, tatos and Greek salad let alone 1550. I can buy into a big portion of lasagna being close to 900 calories and three big pancakes with butter and syrup would be 1250 calories but the chicken thing is bullshit I don't know how people in a cooking forum aren't calling this shit out
Same goes for the protein bar + "fruits" that's two large apples and a protein bar as one snack and for 500 calories of natural icecream meaning no sugar added that should be 5 scoops of ice cream
This is fricking bullshit I tell you what
So this is actually a massive amount of food and no even as a fatass I couldn't eat it, I could eat 5000 calories worth of food if it was just high calorie snacks, I can't eat 1550 calories of chicken and salad

I just had a slice of apple pie for breakfast. I would guess it's 500 calories but idfk
Then, I'll have coffee, go to services, have mixed buckwheat noodles with vegetables for lunch with cucumber salad and steamed fish, putz about a bit then have pasta with simple tomato sauce for dinner.
Lemme look up caloric values, brb

      Anonymous

250 for the coffee, 950 for lunch and 425 for dinner.
Just to be sure, I figured the calories for the pie, too: under 250 calories. I seriously overestimated its caloric content.
So 1875 for the day of I don't snack.
