How to prepare for working in a kitchen

Over a year ago I lost my dream job. I fell into a deep depression and blew through all my savings. Time to suck it up and get a job. I’ve applied to become a linecook since they’ll hire anyone. What should I expect? How do I get ready.

What was it and why can’t you find another in the same field?

I owned my own lawn care company. I was easily making over 150k a year. Unfortunately, I go caught doing something I shouldn’t have been doing and lost everything. My former employees hate me because they lost their jobs in the process. My wife divorced me and demands alimony and child support (but has still decided to turn our two kids against me). I have nothing. I currently have less than 1,000 dollars in my bank account.

Are you actually qualified to do line work?

Yes. It’s very simple from what I’ve been told.

What the hell did you do that was so bad both your employees and (ex) wife hate you but you're not in prison? Worst case scenario, could you just take a loan, pack up, and try again in a new city?

If you must no, I got an 18 year old pregnant. There are also allegations of me providing her with marijuana and methamphetamine. Those allegations are not true. I will admit I go her pregnant, which is not legal given how she is above the age of consent federally.

What do I even do? Is there a way to recover from having my life totally fricked? How do I cope with the fact that my best years are long gone and my life will never be as good again?

I work in sales, and recently a guy came in to talk to me about how he was at the store with his wife and he couldn't stand the b***h's personality but she had money. He also talked about how she was his third wife and that he used to be a "cook" who traveled Europe. Dude was missing most of his teeth and I'm pretty sure he spent whatever money he has on coke.

tl;dr don't ever get into food service

Part of the reason I want to work in a kitchen is the ease of access to cocaine. It is one of my few remaining pleasures in life.

Should have kept your dick to yourself instead of chasing barely legal pussy.

There's no federal age of consent. Which country was this in since it couldn't have been America?

the hardest part is dealing with the boredom when you arent very busy. Or remembering where some random ingredient is.
