No I don't. Ask any Indian, and they will vehemently disagree with you. It's not curry.

They are the international authority on curry. It's like how you would ask IUPAC about the standardized names of elements.

Ok, but Japan is the international authority on dicky, which is close enough.

"curry" literally is not an Indian dish. It was invented by the British as just a generic amalgamation of Indian cuisine that soldiers got the taste for. Curry is to India as taco bell is to Mexico

Personally I think that we should embrace the way that there are many different foods called curry and they're all delightful 🙂
This goes for chili too, by the way.

Never tried any of the others yet.

They're both good. If Indians could shape the fuck up and make an internationally available brand that you could just chuck into a pot of boiling water and have it come out as good as Japanese curry, they'd be set. The instant stuff that's available is nowhere near the same quality

White animal here. Let's take a look at the ingredients for japanese curry slop:

    Golden Brand Curry:
Wheat flour, Vegetable oils (Palm oil, Hydrogenated rapeseed oil), Salt, Sugar, Curry powder, Monosodium glutamate, Caramel color, Malic acid, Pepper, Chili pepper, Garlic, Disodium guanylate, Disodium inosinate, Celery seed, Mustard.

Now let's take a look at a real Indian curry powder. I choose Keema Masala, which is specifically designed for meatslop

    Shan Brand Keema Mix:
Coriander, red chilli, paprika, salt, onion, turmeric, ginger, black pepper, cumin seed, papain, cinnamon, clove, mace, green cardamom, bay leaf, garlic

    Two things stand out.
1: the japslop is heavily processed with scary chemicals and seed oils

2: the keemaslop has way more Hispanices, and all natural ingredients.

So, just on instinct and self-preservation, I would violently AVOID that japslop horror show, and keep it AWAY from my children. Filthy factory food.

All praise to Shan. The all natural holy keema redeemer.

Verdict: India Wins. (It's actually a Pakistani product, but ehhh ya know. Same thing.)

Well yes because I put them in my meals sometimes. And I have eaten them in curries IN India. So if this is some kinda scam, they are really putting a lot of effort in, but for what purpose? Idk

so what even is the point of this thread? OP didnt even ask any question or wasnt planning to cooking anything or else we would be seeing at least 5 progress pics by now.
lets see: op image with obviously nip gravy brands, and op specifically calling them not curry. Was this thread made just to instigate shitposts?

Curry just means "cookery" in English, it's an anachronistic word. Even Stargazey Pie is a type of curry.

Curry just means sauce and there's no reason why they wouldn't call it that.
