Wasn’t making me gag or anything just wasn’t too good. Flavorful but not too good. I guess I didn’t soak it in milk like they tell you to do.

I never soak it in milk and it tastes good to me, youre supposed to leave it a little undercooked, it will obviously never be as good as muscle meat but I guess some people just will never like it

Frick off, only pig and goose livers are palatable and even then you have to subject the animal to unconscionable acts of cruelty.
I’m no sanctimonious vegan, but I’m not going to torture an animal before I eat it.

Liver needs to be prepared and eaten the day you buy it. You obviously needs a shop that sells it as fresh as can be too.

Why is france so big on liver?

Italians and Belgians are big on liver, the French not so much. "Foie gras" (fat goose or duck liver) is actually ancient Egyptian and spread throughout the Roman Empire. The French began marketing it as "their" product in the late 19th century misguided nationalistic drive that infested most of the Western world.

I mean, it was packaged and frozen on March 19th, according to the pack. Comes from the dairy store in my college, didn't seem rotten. I can tell I overcooked it though, its very tough. This was not worth forever blackening my magnalite pan.

and you know what? that's perfectly fine. it's ok to not like certain foods and you shouldn't force yourself to like them

Not giving up yet. gonna have to find somebody who knows what they're doing to make it for me.

its most likely bile that leeched into the liver from the gallbladder. itll taste really bitter if it is. youll be fine if you eat it but you can check for and cut it off beforehand in the future if it bothers you.

That's PETA propaganda, geese and pigs will eat themselves to death if their diet isn't regulated
Gavage was an attempt to restrict their diet, not to force-feed them

why are you being needlessly contrarian. force feeding does in fact fatten up their liver. bigger liver more product
