buy eggs, rice, pasta and a few tins of chopped tomatoes
make a sauce with the tomatoes and mix it with the pasta, you can also make egg fried rice with the other two things plus some veggies you might have lying around in your fridge
cook the pasta and the rice in bulk and it should just about last you

Anon, why don't you simply withdraw some money from your savings? You surely didn't buy drugs and alcohol with money that might otherwise be in your pocket now.... Right?

Okay so for carbs, options are rice and flour. Thats it in your budget. Parboiled White Rice and All Purpose Flour. Get 5lb of each.

For fat, get a bottle of vegetable oil..You can get a decent sized one for 3 bucks according to walmart.

Those three should run you roughly 24k calories, so most of your needs are met just by those.

Make sure you have salt, soy sauce, and hot sauce if you want this to be tolerable.

Then get peanut butter. Depending on what condiments you bought, this might be your budget.

In this case, you will make a flatbread dough every morning, just flour, water, and salt. Fry it in some oil in a pan, then top with peanut butter.

For Lunch, white rice with hot sauce and soy sauce. For dinner, use leftover rice to make fried rice with more oil.

If you had soy sauce/hot sauce on hand, you can probably splurge a bit more. Buy dried pinto beans, currently a buck a pound at Walmart. Then with your final bit of cash, grab yourself a treat of some sort. Could be as simple as a two liter of no name pop.

With pinto beans, you are just going to cook them and serve with lunch.

    Now, things to look into.

Depending on where you live, you might have the opportunity to forage. If you live in warmer climates, Blackberries may already be ready to eat. Other spring edibles include Dandelion flowers, Nettles, and wild alliums. Dont go mushrooming because you might end up killing yourself.

If you have free time, consider collecting cans. It might seem tedious and low value, but even two bucks to snag some eggs will increase your quality of life significantly.

Finally, have you considered asking family? When I first moved out on my own I lost my job to a sudden closure(literally showed up to shift and building was locked). While I got another job a week later, I was down bad financially for a bit. My mom got all my nearby family to clear out their pantries of any cans close to expiry for me.

Eggs, broccoli, oatmeal, dried beans and apples by the bag until $20. Drink warm water if you get the pangs. Or you could hit up a cougar and pocket the $20.
