White bread and put pb and j or eggs on it. Frozen broccoli as a side. That should cover all essential nutrients for under $10. Maybe splurge on a bag of shredded cheese. You can just do rice and beans as well with frozen veggies as well but you need spices/broth for it to not taste like depression so I hope you have a stocked pantry.

You want pepper salt and garlic powder for the frozen broccoli. That'll make it taste good. You can make broth and jar it for the week, or get cheap store brand stuff, and just simmer the broccoli with half a cup of that for even more flavor.

to be fair it is what you would do, it's pretty obv that you can't buy a half box of rice or pasta either, and frankly I would sub meat for eggs.

            >to be fair it is what you would do
I definitely would not cook pork shoulder with canned corn and macaroni, no. There's no greens in this video either. Frozen vegetables are not expensive, you could easily substitute that rice "pudding" for that. Like there's serious nutritional deficit here and it's bad food thrown together because slav XD

              >bad food thrown together because slav XD
lmfao "bad food" like fresh produce, meat and carbs. And then you have homosexuals like

Ramen, peanut butter, garlic, Sriracha. Stir fry it together and it'll be good

suggesting ramen and fricking peanut butter. Get real. You are however absolutely right that it's nutritionally not complete. The apples as a filler snack imho are useless and so are the seeds. Frick snacking. Could have been any leafy green. Corn and shit also, as you said, is not really a weekly staple. But I'd say that misses the larger point of "grains, root vegetables, and legumes supplemented by fat are key poverty food"

This has certainly brought the pale, skinny, near death, vegetarians out!

I am been through hard times myself. So I know what I am talking about.
Get yourself a large tin of Pilchards and a tray of mince, a couple onions, tin of chopped tomatoes, packet of instant mash, rice and a cheap white sliced loaf.

This should cost about a tenner.

Make some sort of cottage pie and stuff it into bread sammiches.

I often used to make a Pilchard curry/chilli (depending on what I hade spice wise) and eat this, in slices of bread with rice.

if when you make the soup you only simmer it lightly just until the chicken is cooked through, you'll have a tasty broth and the chicken will still be good for other uses, like chicken salad or whatever. or of course you can cook and eat the chicken and make broth from just the carcass but that won't make much broth. best is to save up bones in the freezer til you can fill a pot and then make stock

ask your local supermarkets what time of day is best for grabbing all the discounted items. peanut butter is good cheap food. a bag of porridge oats are good and cheap and make a good breakfast. don't even need milk for it.
    cheap simple porridge recipe:
    sugar, oats, raisins, peanut butter.
add 1-3 handfuls of oats to a bowl, add water to about a cm above the oats, microwave for a couple minutes. add sugar and spoonful of peanut butter. you can't tell it's water, tastes just as good if not better because it's less sticky. a bag of oats will last you weeks, and is very filling.
lentils are also good and cheap for meals.

      Anonymous

also eggs instead of meat, way cheaper and basically just as good. also, not to everyone's taste, but cottage cheese. it's very good for you and always very cheap, it's also always discounted. its pretty good once you get used to it, put it on bread or toast and add some black pepper or something and bam. tinned sardines are also usually cheap and nutritious.

Is that a joke? I could eat pretty damn well on that much money shopping at Tesco, though I'm happy eating fairly basic meals.

    £1.50 - 15 frozen sausages
    £3.30 - 2kg Maris Piper botatoes
    £1.25 - 1kg oats
£1.45 - 4 pints whole pint (fat content is free calories lmao)
    £2 - 1kg cooking bacon (it's literally just offcuts)
    £1.70 - butter
    £0.75 - 500g macaroni
£3 - pot of Bisto cheese sauce
    £1 - 1kg onions
    £2.70 - 4 pork loin steaks
    £1.10 - a bottle of fricking ketchup

That's £19.75 and there's plenty you can do with it.

    >Bangers and buttery mash with fried onions
    >Porridge or just a straight bowl of frickin oats
    >Mac n chee
    >Bacon and fried onion for brekkie
    >Slice potato, parboil, mix with cheese sauce and diced bacon, and bake
    >Chips and pork steaks

Your problem isn't lack of money; it's being a picky frick.
