I made 2 different pizza chains in my city remove their "extra pizza" offers after repeatedly buying in bulk and eating it over multiple days for weeks on end.
Why do they even offer these if they lose money on them?

What is an "extra pizza" offer?

One of them was "if your order is over X amount of money you get a free pizza". The other was "if you buy 3 pizzas you get the 4th one free".
It seems the chains assume these would be used by people at parties or something but I'd just pop them into the refrigerator and eat them over 2 days and get extremely cheap pizza delivered to my door.

You didn't do jack shit. If anything it was hordes of fatasses like you doing the exact same thing. Or simply unrelated reasons

I think it was me because these offers were up for years until I came along.

          >after repeatedly buying in bulk
how many pizzas are we talking?

A lot. I would bulk buy like 1-2 times a week. 4 pizzas + extras like cupcakes or coffee on each delivery and I would also get cashback. It would always come up to like 14 euros for all of it so ~7 euros/2 pizzas with everything added. Compared to a single pizza being 6 euros if bought normally. I don't know how they even allowed these offers in the first place, they must have been losing money every time it was used.

You do realise you can get even cheaper pizza by just making it yourself? Pizza base is one of the easiest doughs to make and the rest is just cheese and tomato.

It's only cheaper if you don't value your time and effort.

If you valued your time you wouldn't be shortening your life with chain pizza.

I used to do it too. It was way cheaper to buy a pizza from domino's than the shittiest frozen one at the supermarket. There's no pizza with mozzarella only and not a blend of fake disgusting cheap cheese, for less than 6€ available at any grocery stores around me. Buying a fresh one from domino's is cheaper than a frozen one and when they use to make deals, I use to buy severals and frozeて おく them.

Food Lion used to do BOGO deals on pork loin. For the entire week of the sale, I'd go each day and buy everything that was out in the case. After I did this a couple of times, they put a limit of two free pork loins.

it has got to do with inflation. for example LIDL went from 50% discounts on almost expired stuff to 30% recently. barely anyone offers discounts and special offers like before corona and the war. chains got more greedy than anyone else. look at the new mcdonalds and burger king prices. look at their new special offers, they're laughable now

          Then why

I got 7 Neumann's Own (or however it's written) pizzas for $3.50 total, 7 boxes of GrainBerry cereal for free and another 7 for an additional $3.50, packs of instant ramen for 9¢ each, boxes of Kraft makkincheez for 19¢ each, a gallon of milk, box of frosted flakes and five lemons for -2¢ (they literally paid me to take their shit), innumerable quantities of free sodas, energy drinks, donuts, "smart"waters and iced coffees, 2lbs of free cherries, free seltzer water, free ground coffee and more by using Safeway's Just4U bullshit. I just got some free raspberry spice Coke and cough drops in the app just now but I haven't gone to the store to get them yet. Trust me: you aren't making a dent in their bottom line with how much shit companies give away or practically give away.

Why are you comparing packaged shelf stable foods with made to order foods using limited shelf life ingredients? What point are you making?

No it doesn't. They're simply not at all comparable. The business models are completely different.

Doubling down on your stupidity, Cletus? Good for you. No need to admit that the post literally says that OP isn't making any difference to a chain's bottom line and that the last was obviously a rhetorical device to point out how companies do that sort of shit all the time. That's why Red Lobster losing a kajillion dollaridoos giving away free shit made the news last year: because it never hurt the bottom line to do so before those morons.
Say hi to your wife/sister-cousin for me, you mouthbreathing moron.

Winn-Dixie used to have a policy of a free 1/2 gallon of ice cream if you had waited behind more than 3 people in line. Happened every single time.
