    This pie has simply carrots, sweet peas, chimken, and a diced onion in the sauce. I used a cube of chicken flavored seasoning bullion thing or whatever since it's basically the perfect amount for a pie, but it can be seasoned simply with salt, pepper, lemon pepper, etc.

          The apple pie and the chiken pot pie are basically exactly the same except for the amount of sugar (there's significantly more in the apple). It must just be that I didn't cook it until it was golden brown. I prefer the chicken pot pie to be less cooked on top.

          This lasts like 3 or 4 days for us. We don't really eat it as a meal by itself, but as a side dish next to a soup or something. I usually eat this for breakfast the next few days after baking it

    I don't bake, but there's a British specialty store in my neighborhood that does a lot of savory pies and I go there sometimes. They got all kinds: chicken and leek, shepherd's, cottage, chicken curry, steak & ale, steak & kidney, sausage rolls, etc. I love them all.

      It's not a secret anon, it's just pie
      Here's what I followed roughly

      CHICKEN POT PIE
      dough
      >1 stick of butter out of the fridge, cut into cubes
      >300-350g of flour (I eyeball it with spoons)
      >rub it all together in your hands until the flour is kind of sandy. You dont want to "kneed' this dough really. You want to butter to stay cold
      >1 egg
      >a dash of sugar
      >a dash of salt
      >little bit of bakinsoda and baking powder (activate with acv)
      >1 tbls sour cream
      >1 tbls of acv
      >just push everything together and kneed as little as you need to. Just until it all holds together. Again, you dont want the butter to melt, you just want it to hold tight to itself
      >cover it and put in the firdge for half an hour
      Filling
      >boil chicken cubes(this time I used canned chicken cause I wanted to try it out), and carrot cubes (3ish carrots), for 20m
      >you can also boil cellary cube, but i dont really like it
      >sweet peas(drained if from a can(i only use half a can). You can use fresh if you want)
      >simmer diced onion in butter until about halfway done, just starting to brown.
      >then add chicken broth and milk. About 450 ml half and half, give or take 50ml depending on how wet or dry you want your pie
      >add a couple tbls of flour
      >add seasoning
      >simmer until it's thick
      >mix the sauce you've made with the peas, carrots, and chimken
      >let it all cool, you don't want to put this in the dough when it's hot
      >roll out your dough and put it in the baking pan, dont forget to save about a third for the top!
      >assemble the pie!
      >35m total in oven, start at 400, lower to 350 after 10-15m (all this is variable depending on your oven, but start it on high then lower it. Remove it when you want. You can make it golden brown, or you can cook it a bit less. I like this chicken pot pie to be a little undercooked personally)

          I actually dont remember because I didnt write it down. Obviously it was apples. I'm pretty sure I used some brown sugar and lemon juice aswell, but it was a long time ago. You have to cook the apples on a stove to basically make apple jam
          I believe the dough was roughly the same as the one I made for the chicken pot pie, only it looks different because I latticed them and rolled it super thin. Also I put ALOT of brown sugar on top

    Your pie looks professional. Great crust.

    Next big thing I make will either be a pie, or a fancy Shepard's or lasagna. I saw a Shepard's pie recently that looked twice baked, looked tight.

    If I do a pie, it's probably going to be chicken, mushrooms, and pecorino.

      I've made chicken pot pies with mushrooms in the past, too. I do like it, but I feel it's not necessary. Mushrooms are a very meat-like food, so it kind of distracts from the chicken imo

    You need to make more dough than she does, it needs to be thicker than she makes hers and also the oven should be hotter, something like 200
