My advice? Eat your soup for breakfast! It is the real and only answer to food in the morning.

Does my Caldo look okay, soupbros? It was delicious.

I tried turnips in soup for the first time and I was in love. They absorb the flavors very well and have a nice soft texture. I was inspired after having tried chayote in a soup.

              >How does it compare to turnip?
I dunno..I've only ever used that in my Valentines curry(YEARS ago. Had beets and rutabaga too.)
No, haven't, but I would be willing to try it.
Is it astringent kinda like eggplant or...
It shows up in those dollar bags at K-Roger all the time.

It tastes a bit like zucchini, but the texture is more like a mix between potato and zucchini. Kinda hard to describe, but I really liked it. Wouldn't say it was astringent how I had it.

I will surely try rutabaga. High protein and low carb soups make me feel great when I eat them in the morning.

                >It tastes a bit like zucchini, but the texture is more like a mix between potato and zucchini.
                I like both of those.
Will try at next convenience--TY anon.
Give some homemade bread a try too. A LOT of people who have "Issues" with store bought bread have none of the same with homemade.
If you have a dutch oven, I highly recommend no-knead bread using organic flour.
Any homemade bread will do, however.

I also made soup with cauliflower yesterday, but it had italian sausage, onion, and spinach.

                WOULD.

              Anonymous

That's the main difference, it's broth:ingredients but also generally cook time
Stews are typically simmered over long periods of time
Soups typically combine multiple pre-cooked ingredients or shortly-cooked ingredients mixed together just before serving
