Offence and offense are both correct. Offence is the spelling more commonly used outside of the United States. Offense is the spelling more commonly used in the United States.

This is an American website that uses American English, so you should have spelled it "offense." I do not care if you take offense to this fact.

Get the cheapest 2 lbs of rice and the cheapest 1 lb of beans you can find. That will keep you alive and prevent you from losing weight.
Now look for a tube of concentrated tomato paste - add it to the water and it will form a sauce as it reduces.
The rest of your budget can go into a herb or spice. Hot chilli powder is good value as you don't need a lot of it.

        >fence
        >offence
The words have a common derivation, hence the spelling.

This is a miserable list. You can buy much more vegetables if you cut out the yogurt. For OP it is unnecessary for his predicament, he needs quantities if food, so ixnay the yogurt and get a bag of potatoes. Not the most nutritious thing but they will help you out in a pinch and are filling, and if you have spices potatoes can go a long way. If you don't buy 5-10kg bags of rice at a time you are certifiably a stupid human being.
You can get chickpeas cheaper than the cannellini beans but that's being picky.

Here the burritos are $4.50 a bag, you can buy 4 bags for 32 burritos and eat 4 a day
Or get three bags and eat 3 a day plus a giant thing of peanut butter.
Peanut butter alone is insanely calorie dense. If your goal was to survive a week or three max on as little money as possible, if would be hard to beat rationing on peanut butter 1500kcal a day

One jar of walmart brand peanut butter is only $2 and provides around 2500 cals, 75g protein, 80g carbs and 140g fat. You could live off 7 jars for a week for 14 bucks. You might gain a pound of weight tho.

Cico applies so you will not gain any weight if your tdee is around 2500, but you will experience other health complications after a while of just that diet. If you are concerned about it, just lower the amount you eat per day to 3-500kcal less than your tdee which you should do anyway if you are poor

Rolled oats. $20 should cover an entire week easily, and you can either cook it in water, or just dump it straight into a bowl of water as if oats were a cereal and the water was milk.

Five pounds of flour can be had for three dollars or so. You can turn that into hot carbs with a cup and a half of flour, half a cup of cold water, a teaspoon of baking powder and salt, and one and a half tablespoons of the oil of your choice. Pinch off about three ounces of dough, flatten it between your hands and fry it in a pan on medium heat for about two minutes a side. Oil is optional if it's nonstick. Congrats, you can now make flatbread at any time. You can use it as a base for anything: egg salad, garlic bread, pizza.

This, eat like a latino, onions, garlic, maybe some peppers for a sofrito, maybe some sprinkle of $1 goya sazon or a boullion cube. Simmer dried or canned beans, add some smoky meat like dried chorizo links to your simmer. Kielbasa or ham hocks work. Serve with rice. You can take yellow rice mix, start with your sofrito saute, maybe some tomato paste or a canned stewed tomato to the pot. Park some chicken parts in the skillet, they render their juices into your rice to get it as sticky and rich as paella.
For breakfast and lunch, eggs and potatoes.

    rice (bulk)

then whenever you can grab some extra meat or veggies use it to make variations of slob. Got me trough some hard times.

Also keep in mind Foodbanks and Soupkitchens exist. Some Cafeterias at universities and big companies let guests eat there cheap.
