This for the same reason. And also because beef hotdogs are poopshits.

Ive always found beef hotdogs to have better taste and texture than pork. Would be curious as to why people prefer pork

          Anonymous

You may have never actually had pork hotdogs, especially since you mention the texture. Texture is a result of the casing, not the meat used and as pork hotdogs are always, in my experience, made with a good casing I can only assume you've never had one.
If you're American, then you should know that pork hotdogs are absurdly uncommon in the US and you may be thinking of mixed meat hotdogs, which almost always lack the characteristic SNAP! you get from biting into a good hotdog. There isn't a single brand of nationally available pork hotdogs in America and only a handful of small batch local brands. Mixed meat hotdog != pork hotdog.
But if you've actually had 100% pork hotdogs and still prefer beef, then you do you, boo, but if you're not sure, find a Slavic or Germanic butcher shop and see about getting pork or pork-and-veal (still good, just not AS good) hotdogs from there. Otherwise, enjoy your beef hotdogs, fren. ^_^

    Beef.

Seafood is just too large of a category to exclude.

Pork tastes better and has more varied flavors (ribs, pork belly, etc.) than beef, and is cheaper.

Chicken is cheaper than beef (and I do like me some rotisserie chicken every now so and then).

Pork is just too fricking versatile to give up.
I'd sooner give up all three of the others than give up on seafood. Love fish, love squid, love crab, love octopus, love prawns, love lobster, love abalone, love crocodile (I'm counting that b***h as seafood, fricking fight me c**ts)

There's also the simple fact that pork pairs with fruits better than any other meat.
It makes for a deliciously sweet and savoury meal.
Plus a good pork crackling is unmatched by any other meat.

And then there's simply the utility and flavour of pork lard in cooking.
