He's fine, he's annoying but i like he tries all the bullshit wives tales recipes for me so I only have to use the recipe that works, like his pickled onion video.
Turkey is literally just an inferior meat to chicken
Why are people so incessant on having it? it tastes worse, it looks worse, it cooks worse, it's harder to prepare and more expensive due to artificial demand from holiday retardation.
Turkey is easy to make and looks delicious. Also more expensive? It's so obvious you're either a man child or 14 years old because turkey is insanely cheap during holidays. It's clear you've never done any shopping and by your complaints you definitely don't cook. Go back to Culinaly you fuckin tourist
>more expensive
Motherfucker what? I haven't paid more than 80 cents a pound for turkey in my entire fucking life. They go on sale immediately after the holiday, sometimes even in the lead-up to it, and are cheap as shit. I've always got 2 or 3 in the freezer at any given point in time.
He's right about that Turkey fucking sucks. I guess you could deep fry it but not everyone is a bumbling redneck willing to go through all that oil and effort. When instead you could just eat something that tastes good from the start
Yeah, that's how they make those turkey legs they sell at the Renaissance fair. They cook them once then they smoke them after, sure it is super well done but it has a lot more flavor. People seem to enjoy them.
Yes, overcooking dark poultry meat only makes it more delicious. Of course, it's not really "overcooking", or it is, but only in a sense that you're cooking it past safe-to-eat temps. Same with kitchen thighs, for example. You want to reach 85 degrees Celsius.
This has to do with needing to break down collagen into gelatin, for the meat to get tender and juicy.
Yeah, anyone who has had supermarket rotisserie chicken knows this. Costco chickens are cooked to at least 183f for the largest bird. It's usually around 185-189f for the breast and the thigh will frequently reach 205-210f. It's still juicy and flavorful due to the brine.
Looks more like maillard reaction. (There was sugar or fructose in the brine.)
he was talking about the taste and texture of the meat inside, not the skin
dumb fucks who listen to this retard deserve everything they have coming
>everything they have coming
Namely?
lupus
It's not lupus
Except that one time it actually was lupus.
It's never lupus
Good food and happy tummy
overcooked turkey

It's not overcooking if it makes it better.

There's no legitimate reason to ever buy it.

>hey guys instead of a Turkey I made 5 roast chickens. wa la
Sounds pretty good actually, a bunch of Chickens on a huge pike

If sewerage is your taste preference, yikes
Turkey is very cheap around Thanksgiving time. It's expensive if you buy it out of season, though.

it's just a sales gimmick for american grocery stores
and that is now "culture" even though it blatantly sucks
The reason is because I love turkey. I love all the meat, the gravy, and the stock I get from turkey.
we eat it like once a year and it goes on sale for $0.99/lbs making it one of the cheapest meat available
you got enough turkey dinner with your pepper, bro?
Isn't this the guy who made a video a year ago saying you shouldn't even try to make turkey taste good?
What a fucking idiot.
Yes this has been known for a long time

episode
